This is true, and I love Morez, but when in the corner or beyond the paint, they literally didn't guard him. It clogged the paint. Our offense is about spreading the defense out and cuts.

Tomi just really gets blown up by physical bigs. And when he is the crux of our offense and asked to defend physical bigs we struggle. Simple as that...

Was the defensive game plan just straight up man-man? I would have figured with how badly we matched up with MD that there would have been some kind of wrinkle or gimmick inserted into the D plan.
KJ has regressed so much that it’s questionable if he will be drafted. Is there really NBA potential there?

I do believe that Maryland is going to win the BTT and everyone will feel better on Sunday. That's a Final Four team.

I absolutely do not blame Tomi. He’s fighting down there but he’s clearly being outmanned bc ITS NOT HIS GAME. Where are the doubles? Where are the traps? Man is being left on an island against absolute beasts what do we expect….

He needs to find his own way back to Champaign. The defense was absolutely pathetic from the tip.
It got a pass last night, due to the lights out shooting, but the defense this tourney (and whole season) is deserving of a pink slip.
The defense needs total rebuilding. The scheme is just soft. Teams just get way too comfortable and there isn't a "feeling you" factor. We haven't been good on that end at all these past few years.
It absolutely SHOULD be his game, though. He's a 7-footer. If he isn't an inside presence, what the hell is he? Sorry, let's be real here.
Tomi is less effective when his shots doesn’t drop,since he’s not a banger in the post ….ability to spread the floor is the sweet spot.
I agree I was praying that for once Brad would try something different when it was so obvious we can not control Reese and Queen one on one. But Brad seems incapable of trying something different.
