I do feel better about our loss for some reason with Michigan beating Maryland and dominating the boards. Largely because we know we can beat Michigan which means Maryland isn’t just a class above everyone as I assumed yesterday. We just played poorly with no effort and they were unconscious from three

Gives me a little more hope we can respond like we did after the Duke game- we need Morez to be a monster on the boards again and Tomi to stay out of foul trouble

This St John's vs Creighton game is a fun watch! Both playing well!

This team is not mentally tough... beating a team doesn't make you mentally tough. It is how you respond when you as a team get punched in the face..

How many 20 point losses does Bama have? oh, I see 1, that was today and that is because Florida put up 104. Bama still scored 82. Florida is a top 5 team in the country..

Now lets look at our beloved this year.. 4 losses by 20 points or more with THREE OF THOSE LOSES OUT OF THE LAST 7 GAMES... We have seen this team get punked multiple times this year and it start with the exhibition. To be honest, It starts with KJ, he is the most obvious mentally soft one on the team, Carey booth might be 2nd, and then its a pick 'em.

Mentally soft can mean a lot of things, but I mean it in this way. When things don't go your way, how do you respond? Do you stick to what you know works or do you revert to what doesn't and continue to take the easy way out. That is what we see with this team. When things get tough, they stop playing defense and begin standing around on offense while someone chucks up a bad 3 with 20 seconds on the clock.. This is the sign of a mental weak team.. I think it will help when we get a new defensive coach who will put some bite back into whatever team we have next year...
I think there are some mentally soft posters here on loyalty. 🤣🤣🤣

Maryland not nearly as good on tired legs, imagine that. 🤔
They didn't have a starter play over 25 minutes against us. Michigan had a couple starters play 35 the night before and Goldin played 25. Michigan just came out with a winning mindset, weren't intimidated like we were against Maryland. Yet, we weren't intimidated by Michigan and beat them by 20 at their place. That is a sign of an immature, inconsistent team, which is exactly what we are. I'm sure Brad has learned a lot from this season.

Of course as soon as I post about how great St John/Creighton is, SJ blows up to a 13
pt lead, lol.

I think it was more like what Morez said. Everything they did offensively worked and they scored at will on Iowa. Iowa doesn't play near the defense Maryland does and we weren't ready for it. Sign of a young team, which is what we are. I imagine Brad and the coaching staff tried to get them prepared but you know as well as I do that you can tell a kid till you are blue in the face that if they do or don't do things a certain way it's not going to turn out very good. My kids always had to learn that lesson the hard way as most do.

I’m the total opposite. This result actually makes me feel worse about yesterday. That they aren’t really as good as they looked and it was totally on us for not being prepared or in the right mindset. That, and we had no way to right the ship during the game and we lost that badly.

I do think fatigue had a good deal to do with our lack of energy and hustle. But that’s not getting any easier in the NCAA Tournament.
