A thread where people can ask for recommendations on where to watch games in a given city. (The info for Milwaukee is already in the Milwaukee thread.)

Any recommendations for places to watch in the SJ area? (South Peninsula). Anyone want to join me?

Places I was considering :
- Zone 8 at Matr8x on 101 near SJ airport. (Decent setup. Decent food and prices. The staff was less than competent.)
- Double D's in Los Gatos - a bit of a drive. (A family restaurant whose owners D and D have a sense of humor. Lots of TVs. They understand MM. A bit far.)

Other suggestions?

Ideally:
- I can watch multiple (dare I say 4) games at once without spinning on the chair.
- Sit all day without being hassled for staying too long. I'll buy lunch/dinner (bar food is fine) and leave a good tip if the service is good.
- Not overly crowded
- Free refills on soda.

Ruled out:
- Sports Page in Mountain View. (You can't see more than 1 TV when it gets crowded. Terrible food. No free soda refills.)
- The Old Pro in Palo Alto has not re-opened yet. Palo Alto city hall is being Palo Alto. I was a March Madness regular there until ~6 years ago when they optimized themselves out of business. Hopefully the new owner will fix things when they re-open later this year.

Anyone know if there’s a bar in the Vegas area that favors the Illini?

I used to always do Old Pro as well…Double D’s is usually good for big events.

Yard House in Santana Row could be good, though I’ve never been for March madness.

Let me know where you end up! :)

SFBay Illini club usually hosts something, but it’s most often up in S.F. I’d also prefer something South Bay.

Any other NorCal folks?

Right here! However, I'm up in S.F. so I'll be watching around here as win or lose my ability to drive will be very impaired haha.
