There is nothing I love more than watching IU fans think they deserve and will poach a top 10 coach and then settling for option E for them. With that said, I do think he will be an upgrade for them

both schools AD's timing is terrible

Iowa should have hired DeVries last year
Indiana should have hired May last year
Devries is a better get than May imo. Devries with a top tier NIL is actually pretty scary.

If Chester Frazier doesn't get the HC job is he gone? Don't see a new HC coming in and accepting an associate coach with that power.
Chester Frazier getting the head coaching job would be kind of funny because it would be exactly the same thing Oklahoma State did with Boynton when Brad left for Illinois.

Hire a new coach for a mid major, he leaves after one year and you hire their assistant coach.

I like DeVries but he’s a lot like his mentor …

And I tend to judge people by a couple of things … Performance, How they treat people, and what their co-workers or in this case former players say about them …

DeVries has mixed reviews on those last two … But I do think he can really coach …

This could be a dumb question but if hammer is let go, would Brad bring back Chester to run the defense or has that ship sailed due to Chester’s actions last year?

If we don’t get rid of Hammer, I think Josh needs to have a serious discussion with Underwood and the direction of the program
If we stick with Tyler's buddy and what John Beilien referred to as the worst defense he's ever seen a Brad Underwood team have....when a donor if willing to pony up for Luke Yaklich....
I'll be officially waving the Chris Beard flag.

Really think it’ll end up being Calhoun …

The list is Calhoun, McCollum, Mack, C Fraz, Cronin …
Noone else seems to care or want to touch this but what in the world happened between Cronin and the University that he would consider leaving the blue skies of Southern California (and more importantly In and Out) for Cincinnati and skyline chili? Or Morgantown and Tudors Biscuit World?

I didn't love my time in SoCal as much as most do...but I can't imagine scratching and clawing my way out of John Wooden's house just to take a Tier B job with 2 million in NIL..

What if Josh doesn't mind having an assistant coach or two who will never demand a raise because they have no leverage? Could it be he only views three of the assistant coach slots as necessary and the other two are seat-fillers?

Keep in mind it wasn't that long ago that there was a three-assistant-coach limit, Tyler and Hamer were only promoted to AC because the limit expanded to five.
