For you and everyone else complaining about KJ inbounding they have had a TON of layups off under the basket plays this year. It's actually been really impressive how successful those plays have been over and over. But let's just remeber the couple bad ones that didn't work out instead 🙄
We've definitely improved, but every once in awhile, it's the lazy cuts that create problems.

Will Riley - cap tip

I know 3-5 years from now I'll be saying - " he was an Illini" , as I hope he is a Pacer or Bull.

The analytics aren't the problem. The analysis typically is the problem, and that's done by a person who is human and not infallible.

Data gives you a lot of possible ideas and paths of pursuit to change something. It doesn't mean your assessment is correct, or that your ideas will actually work.

I do this for probably 40-50% of my workday. I look at data and determine causes of problems. It gives me ideas and we try out those ideas. Sometimes you get success and sometimes you don't. But you don't get ideas without the analytics.

I lose patience with BH because he was specifically brought in here to hit three-pointers, and let's be honest, he's been brutal.

Yes, he has hit a big three here and there or tipped a ball on the offensive end for an Illini rebound, but he's getting paid a lot of money to make three-pointers, and he's been very disappointing. That's a fair criticism even if he's Mr. +100 Stat Man.

- Tomi is just so skilled for his size, great passer and a really good shooter. Such a terrific asset to have.

- Once will settled in...it was heater time. So glad he and KJ are able to experience a tournament win and hopefully five more.

So, because we won by double digits, we should ignore Hummer's offensive stinker? weird.

Actually, for most of the year our inbounding plays have been pretty lame. Then recently we put in some effective plays and the results have been much better. The staff finally started listening to Loyalty's complaining and woke up.

Had one that should have been successful except Kylan got shoved in the back with no call

On the inbounds turnover late in the game absolutely nobody was screening or moving to get open. Should have called a timeout. Our players need to do a better job of getting open pinning the defenders in a way as to not get so many passes tipped or stolen.

KJ is such a difference maker... I know he turns the ball over, but how are you keeping him off the floor?
I don’t mean bench him. It just seems we don’t play Morez and Tomi together very much. It just seems to add a different wrinkle to the offense.

Then you sit Tre, not KJ. KJ stresses the defense like no one else we have. He’s the straw that stirs the drink. Yeah sometime he spills a bit, but he gets them scrambling
