I think Swain would come in here and do very well what Booth was supposed to do.

the question is whether he'd be ok with his role (not starting/not being a featured piece)

Conwell would be a starter, but the same question holds for him too (he clearly wouldn't be top dog)

who knows? some guys just want to win (and take names). guys willing to sacrifice some of their individual stats for the team. we have a great package (dick joke). I'm sure we'll garner a stuff-ton of interest

Conwell may wish to join the Illini just so he might never have to face Kylan again. Well, maybe in practice every day. So forget that idea.

maybe indy will provide more clarity, but all those guys will follow sean over to texas i would assume. Id take both though

I love Swain but would like to avoid non-shooters if possible*

*yes I know he made 3/5 last night... 16 percent career from 3 though
He killed s down low. He averages fewer than one attempt per game from 3. I like a guy like him because he can guard 1-4, is patient and crafty on the low block, willing to shoot if you dare him, and bouncy. Two years left together better.

I couldnt care less about players jumping from school to school. Maybe i feel that way since U of I hasnt been stung too often by players we love and count on leaving for other programs (cases like adam miller aren't the end of the world). NCAA is a terrible organization and the players chasing the bags deserve it. D1 hoops have kind of turned into a world where non power conference players are simply showcasing talent for schools with big NIL programs and I don't hate it. Big change but hopefully we continue to play the game correctly and benefit.

Bingo! Yes, he's not making three's. In the end, Booth is a better three-point shooter, but all the other intangibles about which you typed is the key.

I think he can crash the boards and get defensive and offensive rebounds. As you posit, he'd be a great defender as well. I think he's tough. And he has that one-on-one appeal against a smaller or slower defender. Just be active at the rim.

If Swain portals and we have the chance to get him…. We should. Couple of things, 6’8” ball handler/slasher/booty ball finisher. He might not be a good 3 pt shooter (yet)….. but I think I heard he was an 80+% FT shooter. So he CAN shoot. His defensive ability would be great.

I can confirm that that the Milwaukee Hilton is a gorgeous old hotel and has two resident dogs that live there full time. I met them and they are very cute. No idea if this guy did.

No no no. This is what Jonas Aidoo does. He looks good for 1 game to make you forget about him sucking for 12-15 in a row. I did my time watching him with the Vols. I do NOT want to see him with the beloved.
Yeah we can do better
