Hey! I was wrong! Is that what you want? Fine. I was dead wrong on this one. Dude is a killer... He got better. But he still lost at Illinois :)

(I did predict second team all big ten so not completely off)
I don’t know who said it, just that quite a few did. I like his game — except when playing Illini. Always reminded me of Aaron Craft but better.

In the right system, this guy could be a top 10 player in the conference as a senior.

Tell me if this is crazy:

Dix is like a 6-foot-6 version of Fletcher Loyer

Not just saying that because they are both white and can shoot LOL... they have a lot of the same tendencies as players if you look at things like 2pt/3pt ratio, assist rate, rebound rates, etcetera

Now, this might mean nothing, because I was told earlier today that Loyer is a weak, do-nothing bum who is being carried by Braden Smith :ROFLMAO:

EDIT: Wow, did not realize Fletcher Loyer was 6'5"... these two are actually very similar, imo...

Love Will, but his NIL package would have to be north of $5M. Don't see that happening. Not sure it’s a wise investment.
It's wild what they are making. We saw the way he took over against Xavier. I was having visions of him putting the team on his back for a deep run. You would expect that to be more likely as a sophomore with another year of Fletch. Probably not a wise investment, but if a donor is willing to pony up extra to keep him around, I say game on! Seems like a wiser deal/value than what BYU is giving AJ Dybantsa next year, considering we already know what Riley plays like in an Illinois uniform.

I thought Goode left because he got his degree from Illinois and wanted to play at home, with his brother, not because the team didn't have a spot for him.
Yup, but there are those that blame Brad for every player that leaves. I guess Brad should just tell the entire roster they have a guaranteed starting spot.

Staff has essentially secured deals to bring back Tomi, Morez, and Kylan. Working on Tre.
I like Tre, but I'd think that you could replace him via portal a lot easier and cheaper than the first 3
Even more so with Jake. They both obviously have a year in the system, though.
Let Hummer free! as well as Hamer, please

Also seen all of our insiders say attack Loyer… they’re both liabilities and they both come from great offensive system whose coaches have incredible sets.. Brad doesn’t have that.

I want to be more like St John’s, Maryland, Houston defensively.

I think Will ends up going pro, but there is a case if he’s projected end of first round that could mean second round in which case he’d be better off coming back and being a lottery pick.

It would be very risky for him to switch programs not knowing the coaching staff and fit to the system if his objective is to improve his draft stock. Usually guys looking to improve draft stock stay, guys looking for a bag transfer, so I like our chances if he does come back

Working on Ty as well. Would have to likely accept a bench role, but they want him back.

This one will be very interesting to watch over the next few weeks.
I've typed comments before saying if Ty can't cut it here, then good luck somewhere else. To be honest, I now realize that great teams need a player like Ty, or should I type: Charlie Hustle.

Playing solid defense, rebounding on both sides of the court, diving for loose balls, and jacking up his teammates with his attitude would all rule the day.

What happened to that super tall recruit from Europe that came on an official visit? He had an interesting skill set.

Luigi Suigo?

Maybe him, instead?

I'd like for the Illini to get a TSJ-type player: good outside shooter with the damn ability to drive and score at the rim. Not sure if Dix is that player.

He was featured in Iowa’s offense. That team was borderline mid major material imo. I don’t want to feature Dix in our offense. He’d be a nice Goode role type guy. But I don’t want to go into games relying on sets ran through Josh Dix. He’s a liability on defense as well
Border line mid major that we had to score 106 points to barely beat? Dix is a good player that a lot of teams are willing to pay handsomely

Sarr is going to be the rim runner on the break.

Dix shot .572 on 2 point FG as a 3rd year player. (6 attempts per game)
TJ shot .573 on 2 point FG as a 5th year player. (7 attempts per game)

He’s not close to the athlete, but…
