My friend was there celebrating his father in law’s 90th birthday. I think his company still has season tickets, which back when I still lived in Chicago were sixth row behind Sox dugout. Enjoyed a few games from those seats back in the day.

I am not a Sox fan, but that is a ridiculous number. If I had the interest, I would have to take the over. I don't have the patience for a bet that I have to wait 6 months to collect.

Yeah, the bets like that are ones you see the sharps bet on. There was a story out earlier this week about a bettor that made a $5 multi-team parlay bet back in spring 2024 on the champions of the 2024 CWS, 2024 World Series, 2025 CFP National Championship, the winner of Super Bowl LIX, and the winner of this year's men's tournament. If he cashes out now, he would win nearly $50k. If he lets it ride and Duke wins the national title, then he wins $168k.

I am going to a game this year on the anniversary of my dad passing away, my dad was a fan for 60 years.

It is so great that you are doing this. Sox fandom is so much passed along and down by family and our connection to our own loved-ones. We adopt this team into our own families and the Sox become sort of our extended family.

Despite the Sox having so many down years... they have also brought us much fun and joy and even success at special periods of time. We all need to enjoy this team as much as we can because the future of the Sox franchise is in doubt both in terms of ownership and where the team will call home.

If they could move the Dodgers out of Brooklyn and the (real) Browns out of Cleveland... they can move most any team anywhere. They look at this as a business while we look at this as a passion and enjoying games with people who mean something to us.

I think it was Lee Trivno who said that even God couldn’t hit a 1 iron. But I think Jesus can hit a curve ball.

If Jesus could turn water into wine... maybe the Sox could make him the next GM and turn the Sox into a Champion once again. But let's hope it doesn't come down to this.

Sox have given up 5 runs in the first 4 games.
9-0 over the Twins today.
2-2 to start the year.

Well, no complaints about the pitching so far. 😲 This is a completely bonkers stat for a team coming off a 41-win season

These have all been entertaining games so far. Which was not the case last year. At all.

Maybe some of the young talent on the Sox is starting to show signs of being at a Major League level. There will be plenty of losses this season – but if the talent is maturing it will be a productive season to build upon.

Only one game, but 1-0 is better than 0-1. Very nice start for Burke. Homers by Vargas and Slater are big for different reasons — Vargas cuz he hopefully can be a part of the future and Slater cuz solid+ year could bring something at trade deadline. Would love to see Slater and Drury (assuming he made team with solid spring, but not sure) have big first halves to have trade value.

Go Sox!
Just realized Drury had been cut. Fractured his thumb so wasn’t going to be healthy for start of season. Too bad. Had a great spring and veterans like this can be good for young team and if the hit, can bring back something in return at trade deadline.

First comes the report that The Owner still isn’t interested in selling the White Sox (to give the franchise the new competent ownership Sox fans know it desperately needs). Then, today on the field the White Sox literally hand the ball game in Detroit to the Tigers in the bottom of the Ninth.

For Sox fans... this kind of bad news will continue until Sox Nation’s morale improves. Or so the saying goes...

If an Owner was deliberately trying to ruin a market for his ball club... we are seeing that kind of approach with what’s happening on the South Side. In fact, with the way the ball club is being run and the kind of players they are putting out on the field... you could not do a better job of ruining a fan base and teams’s home market.

It’s a damn shame because the White Sox even now continue to have a loyal core of fans. But many fans are finally turning away because they've seen enough
failure. There is just no light at the end of the tunnel with how things are going. And the people in charge do nothing to inspire any confidence in them.

So, the White Sox will continue to put out a Triple-A lineup on the field against actual Major Leaguers. And Sox fans will continue to watch things that no fan base should have to see.

Not being able to watch the games without a whole new subscription is making it harder to stay a fan.
Not being able to watch the games makes it easier to stay a fan...at least for the moment.
Wish we could watch the Barons.
