I think the people I talk to who think Brad may be a little “checked out” are still accurate in a way …

Big Z has been a target for months now … That’s old news …

Let’s get aggressive on some of these new targets … Get Hamer off the dang staff … Demote Kwa … Hire 2 new coaches and get cooking in the portal …

They just wanna see Brad turn up the heat and cook … They wanna see that fire he had in the NCAAT games carry over into the off season …

So, if Kwa is demoted, Hamer Fired, a 3rd big time assistant hired, please tell me he’s a $750k X’s and O’s guru and Tyler is relegated to where a barely experienced asst. should be???

Locking down the Ivisic family would be a great way to bounce back and gain some momentum. Really looking forward to hearing the news on this when it happens.

Definitely- their games are really different other than they can both shoot threes- Z had 27 points against Alabama and was considered the better player going into this season- our scheme helped Big T a lot more than Arkansas helped big Z - that was a lot of the difference

God forbid we bring back a player who started all 38 games on a top 10 ranked Big Ten Tournament champion that made the Elite Eight.

After a year of just focusing on getting better... I imagine we are going to see a vastly different Ty, if he chooses to stay.

Pure speculation. I will guess that these teams make a higher percentage than the Illini.

Money won't be an issue this offseason, the budget will be there. Z would be a great start. Biggest thing is to land a big time 2/3 in the portal and get pieces around them.

Hopefully land Sarr as well.

Sarr really seems to be dragging this thing out..

I had thoughts of this happening when he was benched. I think Tomi and Big Z can play together. Both can shoot the 3, pass and post.

This is where I get confused. On the one hand, I keep hearing the money is there for IL, but then I also read that players keep leaving to get paid. Something doesn't add up--either the players are leaving for other reasons, or IL doesn't have as much money as is being indicated.

This is all great - it is, but would still help to get a proven scorer in the backcourt. To put this season into perspective, it wasn't the frontcourt that held this team back, but more-so inconsistent play on the perimeter - lack of timely offense, turnovers.

How 'bout Jeremiah Fears? Any news that he might become available? Would we have a chance for him?
