If I may make a suggestion

I'm in favor - apparently we've reached out to him. He's lower volume on threes that you would think (4 per game), but he's 100% percentile on catch and shoot threes! He has some of the worst defensive metrics I've seen, but if you put him in a Goode type role of off the bench shooter who can also score in other ways (better than Goode) I think it's a good fit. I don't think he's our starting SG though, but he would be a great third guard for the rotation IMO

I kind of had mixed feeling about Dix but Creighton sounds just about right. I agree we will be alright.

We are in a bad spot of having a ton of money to hand out, but not many difference making free agents out there to be had.

Hopefully the staff is beating the bushes in Europe and 2026 HS reclasses. Given how well Fears and Riley played this year, I think that’s the next best thing to try.

I don't follow Creighton, so I have no clue about their booster situation. But all it would take is one Warren Buffet to dwarf our NIL pool. number of students is far from a good indicator here
The "Oracle of Omaha" strikes again.

Omaha really loves their Creighton basketball, they have a good amount of NIL. Doesn’t hurt that’s he grew up 10 minutes away from campus and his mom is sick

How on earth did we get out-bid by Creighton? No offense to them, but if we really want a guy, we shouldn't ever lose them to Creighton.

Admittedly, for what I think Dix was going for, I'd rather spend those resources elsewhere. Way too much money for a guy that is mediocre at defense.
Creighton has one of the most passionate fan bases in the country, draw over 17,000 a game. And a lot of deep pocketed donors. They've also won at least 1 game in the last 5 tourneys including 2 second weekends. He is from Omaha area. And McDermott runs an offense first program.

Moms almost always win
Creighton seemed like the obvious choice, but they said he doesn't like Freeman. So ok, who knows the story, did Freeman steal his girl?

Did mom say don't be a baby, there are plenty of girls, it's a 20 minute drive for your family to see a game.

It should actually be hard to lock up the two best players available in the global market.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

It was obvious yesterday something was off.

My question is, what’s the delay on announcing for the Ivisic brothers or even Jake Davis?

I think you may have answered your own question with your second paragraph.
