So the presence of Tyler and Hamer "May not be why" but OP is SURE it is a "factor in many." These are qualifications/modifiers about whether or not Tyler and Hamer are the reason why we are missing out on "every recruit." There are no qualifications in the assertion that we are "missing out on every recruit." That part is stated as unqualified, indisputable fact.

OP could have very easily said "May not be why we are missing out on some recruits," or "on many recruits." He did not. It is clear as day, right there in the quote - "every recruit."

I get it. Old school you sent your son to coach under somebody else (Brian Dutcher was grad assistant under Lou Henson). But times have changed. These are rock star coaches who get paid +8M/year and they do what they want. Nobody has problem with Dan Hurley hiring his son because he has 2 NCAA titles. Brad will do what he wants and if he does not succeed he will be fired/replaced.

They had his latest interview on podcast last night. He was very frank on whats going on in portal and Illini pursuits. I am happy that we are not commiting $3M on possibility that freshman Sarr comes at end of May. It looks like Brad is pivoting to an upperclassman wing and understands it will cost $$$. I was pleasantly surprised to see Illini mentioned as top 3 for Watkins. If he is last major add I would be satisfied.

What qualifications does Michael Musselman have that Tyler Underwood does not?

What qualifications do Nate Georgeton and Brendyn Taylor (both at UCLA) or Rem Bakamus and Ken Nakagawa (Arizona) have that Zach Hamer does not?
