Yes. I learned about this "Mystery Player" about a week on on YouTube via Ryan of IlliniGuys. He revealed that Andrej Stojakovic was the Player long coveted by the Staff.

Are Stojakovic rumors legit? Pipe dream? Tell me the former.

And please don't bring Adam Miller back...
Illinois has been speaking to him privately for some time to get him to enter the portal. Now that he's in the portal, that puts Illinois ahead in the "he knows we want him" category, which as we've seen with Dame Sarr means very little compared to dollar values.

what happened with Kam Craft? did he commit somewhere?

I think Peja made like 100M over his NBA career so they may not be as money-focused as your average camp. Probably just looking for the best basketball situation.

I don't understand why people continue to write him off or give him tiny roles on our team.
I don't think he'll have a small role this season but it's pretty easy to understand why others may think it. His own coaching staff recruited over him last offseason. Starting on elite 8 team meant nothing to his own staff then as he wasn't going to start last season (and why he RS)

And I think he can be a valuable utility role guy covering several spots off the bench. As this team is constructed lacking physicality, athleticism, guys that can get to the hoop, and rebounding options I think he's going to play a huge role at 3 & 4 spots

42% shooting from the field and more turnovers than assists don't inspire a great deal of confidence that he's ready to contribute to a team looking to compete for a B1G championship. If we were looking at him as a role player and were confident of landing much bigger backcourt fish, I'd feel better about this recruitment.
when you shoot a ton of 3s, 42% shooting isn't terrible...

Anything more than a bench role and it's be a hard pass for me. However it's quite apparent Illinois isn't even getting consideration from higher profile guys they're "in on" as they aren't competitive with NiL.

Thus they're having to be more realistic and shooting for lesser guys like Miller. Problem theyre seeing is there are a lot of desperate programs like Baylor with an empty team right now and will overpay for the likes of Miller.

There's no good portal news for Illinois that's going to come from Duke commit Shelton Henderson decommitting...

Love seeing Dain hit the portal. He's definitely going to get paid handsomely by someone with how he finished last season. (He averaged 20/10/2 BLK in 7 games in March)
Priority 1 is winning basketball games.
Priority 2 is caring about who’s wearing the orange and blue.

Give me Ty, Adam, and Dain. I’d love to watch those guys play.

There's a possibility he might thrive here. That Cal team had all kinds of problems, but Stoja wasn't one of them.

Which AC would be most responsible for getting Andrej to the beloved? O?
