I also thought last season was the end of physical tickets. I haven't had my seat selection yet so don't know for sure. However, as a ticket stub and card collector I think someone is really missing an NIL opportunity by doing away with the physical ticket. If you could make a trading card style ticket with player name/image/likeness on it I could see if being collectable item for fans.

I do not like what Tennessee is doing though. They are designing ticket stubs after the completion of the game (highlighting players and stats) and offering them at $25 per stub I think.

I like the idea of getting the ticket booklet in the mail as well as having a physical item to hold onto/collect.
My buddy said the digital tickets are the default this year, but if you want printed you can get them for a fee. Makes sense; saves money and the clients who want the paper cover the costs of doing it.

Anybody know about how many season tickets have been purchased so far?

The fee is $30 for the printed tickets, per the drop down bar.

What the paper tickets exactly look like (probably just the small ticket stubs) is probably nothing like the old ticket books.

I am 100% on the mobile ticket train, but man I feel nostalgic thinking about the ticket books we used to get.

I really need to organize my stash but here's some I pulled out of a folder. They're 5.5 by 2 inches, a lot bigger than the traditional ticket stub.

BTW, I have no idea where the price comes from. Even prorating season tickets, each ticket was a lot more than that. Section 227 is 50 yard line.

And no, we didn't get those seats back and we were fourth day. Those seats were gone on day 2.

In recent years, it has been possible to purchase season tickets through an installment payment plan. However, I did not notice this option when I bought my tickets this year. Did I overlook it?

I remember seeing something like that but did not opt in

It was there for my purchase.I think in the upper right corner at pay screen.

Had to move up four rows higher from my previous seats even with a donation I no longer "needed to make" due to the reclassification in section 225. Things are really filling up fast

Oh man, I miss those books. I remember being so excited as a kid to see the new book and which player they picked to have depicted on each game's ticket. Full color and much bigger than what they've turned into the last few years.

My season tickets I've had for 8 years were section 230 row 4 on the aisle. My selection time was Monday at 9:00. No aisle seats left. Moved up two rows to row 6 and 3 off the north aisle. Also contributed $250 to IFUND. Maybe if I had given more...I would gotten an aisle seat but not too upset with my choices. Its the price of success which I am all in for! Let's Go Illini!

I moved from the horseshoe to section 108. Selection process was painless except the website crashed a couple of times. Luckily the seats stayed in my cart so I was eventually able to get it done once I reloaded the website a few times.

I go Monday for my seats. I hope I can get mine. Sec 122 row 42. Nice people all around us.

I’m assuming season tickets will become available to those who didn’t put down a deposit, once the reseat process is over?

I had my appointment last Tuesday. All the Horseshoe options that I had considered over my current seats were gone. So I went with my seats from last year. All in all, I'm pleased they were available.

I lost my seats in section 122 early on. I was right on the aisle between 122 and 123, and was pretty happy with them. My account manager talked me into a $250 donation to move up the list to hopefully get them again. They were gone after 2 days, along with all of the other aisle seats. I started looking around for seats I could get with my donation, but I finally ended up in Section 230, which didn't require one. Those seats also cost double what I would have paid for my old seats, which I think was part of the plan. So, when all was said and done, my seats which I hoped would have cost about $200, ended up costing $460, plus a $250 donation that I didn't need to make to get those seats. Not complaining about the donation, because it did move me up to get some decent seats. So, there's my contribution to this National Championship season.

I think this is the take most of us need to have. I had season tickets in the same spot for 20 years. I did “everything right” and my seats were still taken (like 30 hours before my time). So, my family of seven had to move up like 10 rows and take seats in two rows to get similar seats that’s were near each other.

At the time, this was frustrating. Loyalty seems to mean noting, and money means everything.

But, as I sit back and think about it a week later, I probably would have been pissed had another school done this, it worked well, and they got better recruits as a result.

My hope is that the money I gave is used well. With Josh and Bret, I think it’s good money. So, I spent on average $35ish more dollars on tickets if you include the donation on the cost. I’m still paying $100 less than some other teams who provide much less entertainment. Probably won’t by as many concessions this year, though (spoiler: I will…)

This will all work out, and after the first few games of everyone getting to know the people around them again, we’ll all be fine.

We pay a bit more and/or accept slightly different seats to watch a now competitive team. This beats cheap seats to watch us getting blown out.

I know it stinks to feel like you made an unnecessary donation, but you do get free parking with a donation of that level. Having guaranteed free parking fairly close to the stadium is a very big draw for the $250 Captains level donation.

It is probably going to be research park or further given how many donors there were at that level this year for reseat. Still not a bad perk though

We enjoyed Lot 45 last year at $250. Fun place with great street access Lot 46 was good too.
