That was a typo. Meant to say isn’t*If there isn't one...I will be
If he is the last piece he would be the Last-o-vicSo where does this leave us with Andrej? Still hopeful he signs?
When is his visit over? Not happening tonight
Miško Ražnatović?Had heard the name but knew the price tag was pretty big. Heard they got a bit of a discount because of the connection with the agent. In terms of a commitment though very surprised.
He would be great, but do we even know if he has eligibility left? He's played 5 seasons and would need a waiver, he played 11 games two years ago and it was in the last half of the season, so seems wouldn't get a medical redshirt for that given it was over 30% of his teams games and not season ending injury, but with how many players have entered the portal with no eligibility left, it's hard to know who is just entering on a whim or who will really be eligible next seasonHis highlights POP. Would serve great in the complementary role.
Any rumblings with how it’s gone? Not happening tonight
So much for needing Greenland.Breaking News: NATO to place missile defense systems on outskirts of Champaign-Urbana.
he probably wasnt tough enough for their program, etc etcHas anyone been on the Wisconsin board? I wonder how they are taking us beating them out for Petrovic?
Yeah the thing about the ABA is that it's more reliant on domestic talent than the leagues that dominate the Euroleague standings, which rely heavily on high-priced foreign talent (mostly American players who have already played college ball). And then the younger guys that break through in those loftier leagues draw early NBA interest which complicates things. So it makes sense that it's easier to find eligibile prospects in the ABA than say Germany or Spain.I keep reading about how basketball is getting more popular in Germany. I think the German and French leagues are stronger than they used to be, by virtue of being so much richer than the areas of Europe where basketball is more popular. They can just buy good players.
(So can we!)
Do you think he’ll take other visits?Andrej still on campus. We should hear news in the next 24 hours.
That might be the best news of the day. Lets close thisAndrej still on campus. We should hear news in the next 24 hours.
Mmhmm, I wonder why they're called Cowboy killers...On my way to the corner store to pick up a pack of Marlboro Reds to celebrate the eruption of our Balkan pipeline
Nike is correct for Illinois apparel. Got to open up that market
needs to an Adidas jacket, otherwise perfect
So, is your surprise player still in play or did it happen elsewhere?Had heard the name but knew the price tag was pretty big. Heard they got a bit of a discount because of the connection with the agent. In terms of a commitment though very surprised.
Any rumblings with how it’s gone?
I have not looked at the leagues in the last 3 years so it is quite possible things have changed. (My post was 2022 data.) I rated based on the overall strength of the leagues. The Greek league had a dominant team, 2-3 solid teams and a bottom half of filler at the time. Not perfect (think Greece is underrated here and Germany perhaps overrated) but pretty good ranking.
As another point of reference the top half of the Euroleague is made up of teams from the following domestic leagues:
Greece: 2
Turkey: 2
France: 2
Spain: 2
Germany: 1
The two ABA teams in the competition are at 10th and 12th place.
I'm pretty sure Andrej was the "surprise player" we were waiting on to enter the portal. So, is your surprise player still in play or did it happen elsewhere?
So Hatfields and McCoys is it? Somebody didn't do their homework!!Damn.
I'm worried the 100 year feud between the Petrovics and the Stojacovics is going to haunt us.
Yes please!!!His highlights POP. Would serve great in the complementary role.
