All of those guys would have been sold on a bigger role than that and have a bigger role available to them basically anywhere else.

If there's room for another guy, it's a big, particularly a Guerrier-type 4.
I'm with you!! I'm just having too much fun with this thread. :)

Do you think Boswell and Petrovic are both starting and/or playing large chunks of minutes together? Petrovic appears to be a generous 6'3" and Kylan is about the same. While their games are not identical, they seem to have a lot of similarities. I know there's a lot to still be figured out and things will get tested in practice, but do you think one of them starts over the other?
That’s not what Boogie’s people told O this evening …

But what do I know … 🤷🏻‍♂️

Jamir Watkins could play the 4 and would arguably give Illinois the best top 8 in the country. Just saying. You also are probably spending like 12 million+ on that roster though.

Petrovic
Boswell
Stojakovic
Watkins
Tomi
Ty
Big Z
Mirkovic

All 8 of those guys could get pretty good minutes and you would have a ton of versatility to mix and match as you like.

Could probably even play a big lineup of Ty, Stojakovic, Watkins, Zvonimir, and Tomi for stretches. Imagine trying to keep them off the glass.

This probably isn't going to be the most common opinion, but I'd take Fland over Claude. The fit makes much more sense. Stojakovic and Claude together on the same team... a bit meh of a fit there. Plus, Boogie provides the scoring spark as a combo this team is missing to thrive as well as the deadeye shooting. Petrovic seems like more of a PG than SG.

But i'd take either in a heartbeat and be ecstatic (and Claude may be the slighltly better overall player at this point).

There's no way Petrovic, Boswell, Andrej and Claude/Fland are all on the same team, and it would be pretty easy to identify the odd man out there I gotta say.
I hear you- but would you think Cam Boozer, Isaiah Evans, Khamenia, Maliq Brown and Sarr would all be in the same team? That’s 5 guys for 3 spots but apparently they are all going to play for Duke next year. Louisville got 3 of the best SG’s in the portal and has Maliq Brown coming in - I agree it doesn’t seem logical but maybe these kids are willing to play 25 min but don’t care if they start or it’s just about the $$ they are getting so they are happy (much different world than when playing time was the only currency)

It’s also worth noting that Wisconsin apparently didn’t think Petrovic would be a sure fire starter for them, so maybe we’re over projecting him and he’s the 3rd guard but still plays 20-25 min a game given Claude would play some at the 3 as well

That’s a long winded way of saying I think we can make it work if we can get the money to bring a guy like Claude here. It s high-class problem to have too many good players and it will all work out in the end

Which one is better defensively?

No to the latter. Absent injury, at least one of Boswell and Petrovic will be on the floor at all times.
