Partly agree.... We are in new territory with the advent of internet, social media, etc. Never before in human history could anyone in the world contact someone they have never met and criticize and talk trash to them about how they do their job, their looks, family, etc.. Also, 99% of those hiding behind their computer would never in front of that person say those same things; however, doesn't mean it doesn't negatively affect people receiving those criticisms daily via computer any less.

Strongly agree with your point. Very few adults at any point in their lives deal with the level public scrutiny that these 18-22 year olds navigate. And I assume that scrutiny is on a scale and comes with an callousness that is far greater than what student athletes of previous generations have faced. It has to be a very big challenge, and I commend student athletes like Ben who handle with as much dignity as they do.
