Wow, this sure escalated quickly. I was gone for a while and it's starting to blow up.
QB in the NIL era is just a mess. Your next starting QB and backup may not even be on your roster until next year. There's so many different things to weigh every year.
Burning bridges when you might end up playing for a completely different team is just pointless. Specially when the schools bend over backwards to connect with you and your family.

It's a classless move and burns bridges. He should have the freedom to make it a special moment, but the adults in the room should have pointed out that he was unintentionally disrespecting a program that put a lot of time and effort into his recruitment.
