Huh? He is suspended while currently employed, but free to hire once not employed? Is that even a suspension? I must be reading it wrong.

Just a reminder, this is a self-imposed suspension. This is what Michigan hopes the NCAA will accept as an adequate penalty for Moore - it's essentially Michigan's offer. We don't know yet if the NCAA will accept it or seek to impose additional sanctions. The infractions committee will have a hearing on this on June 6-7.

I continue to savor the fact that their Natty will forever be tarnished by this cheating turd still smearing itself across their seasons, even MooreSo than tOSU's 2002 one v. Miami is tarnished (the late, ridiculous PI flag in the EZ on 4th down that enabled Maurice Clarett's wining score.)
I hope that they go to Norman on Sept. 6 and OU kicks their a$$. Moore's alma mater and a game they cherry-picked for him to coach in.
That program absolutely nauseates me.

Well they claim to be great centers of learning but Michigan and UNC throw ethics and integrity out the window when it comes to football and basketball
UNC - almost lost their University accreditation over dummy courses at School of African American Studies attended by UNC basketball players. Had to disband the school.
Michigan - Fab 5 paying players . Jim Harbaugh/Moore recruiting violations including illegal scouting. At normal school - destroying data to impede NCAA investigations was firing offense with "show cause".

And start out 1-3. I'm still ticked-off about them making a bowl game last year. Walking out after the Michigan I said to somebody that if MSU beats them, Michigan won't a make a bowl game. Certainly didn't expect OSU (even with Ryan Day) to lose to THAT MI team! The only team a wouldn't root to beat OSU was ND. That game sucked for me.
Not gonna pile on. I actually think the conferences would be much better to administer discipline for these sorts of issues than the NCAA. The larger conferences are generally win first, bend the rules second, and abide by them as a last resort (especially if there's not much to gain by 1 & 2). I've heard a number of coaches say what UM did was not unusual, but they might have done it better than others. Furthermore, this should have been addressed through helmet communications.
Anyway, the fact that these "scandals" get addressed many seasons after the infractions and have little teeth when it comes to actually punishing coaches is pretty stupid IMHO.
Second reminder:
It's entirely possible this is all that gets imposed against Michigan, at which point we can argue whether it's fair or not, but at this point you are all reacting to what Michigan wants the NCAA to decide. Of course they want a lenient outcome. Nobody in the history of this process has self-imposed a penalty at the harsher end of the spectrum. Isn't this the same board that called the Tribune article about the lack of reporting of our NIL deals a "hit job" and a "nothing burger?"We hardly are in a position to complain about Michigan’s lack of NIL transparency.
Let's keep the focus on the fact that their football team cheated by stealing signs. That's plenty bad enough.

Either lack of NIL transparency is bad, in which case we are also bad. Or its not a big deal in which case it's not a big deal for Michigan either. Take your pick.
