Brown sugar

Hot honey

Stone ground mustard (a little goes a long way

Bourbon

Plum jam (raspberry, orange marmalade…what ever sounds good)

Salt and pepper-maple pepper (local place has it)...a little ginger

A very small squeeze of lemon

A little garlic paste

Teriyaki

I wing it for amounts: Start with the jam, teriyaki, brown sugar, hot honey...get a nice base and add some burboun to thin it. Go by taste and adjust.
Add small amounts of the other stuff until ya like the end result!

Saw a podcast a few days ago...(don't remember which guys). The indication was that Sarr had been mismanaged. Illini bailed as did Duke. I think the asking
price was out of whack. He was a hot item and rising in the draft and should have signed then.... seems there is very little news currently. Kansas and Ore are the two schools that get mentioned. I would expect he will get something meaningful $ wise but I have to wonder if it could be less at this point. Speculation.
I wouldn't feel sorry for him. It may not be his first choice of schools, but someone will give him a nice payday.

I believe everyone on the team should be on campus by mid to late June. Drastic change from last year and should be huge for the team to get started quickly.
That will be huge, especially to get time with Fletch early. Feel like we had guys like Tomi and Will who had to make up a lot of time with him.

Have we heard what class our overseas recruits are yet...?

Last year we didn't hear until right before the season started (Oct. 31 for Tomi). I imagine it will be the same this time around. And that's probably a good outcome on the spectrum of scenarios. Big Z didn't get cleared until January his Freshman season.

And I know I’ve asked this many times before and it’s mostly rhetorical, but whose desk do these cases sit on and why does it take so long? What else are they doing? Surely they’ve got to have some sort of criteria that they use to determine eligibility, and certain records they need to determine if said criteria has been met. I can’t imagine Illinois or any other school dragging its feet on info or documents the NCAA needs. So what are they doing?

His agent was same guy as Kasparas had i think. The main issue with him is that he wanted to go straight to NBA, declare for draft and forget whole NCAA route, while agent had offers lined up. Seems like he is US bound but whatever happens he will get his bag, maybe not as big as he wanted but i dont see other path.

The NCAA has 1,100 member schools, with 540,000 athletes. Even if 1% of those athletes has the kind of situation that requires some kind of more involved eligibility determination, that's 5,400 cases to review. I am not at all surprised it takes that long.

I wonder if it's a matter of getting international transcripts from some of these guys to see what their high school level course work was like.

International transcripts can be tricky. Some of it might be that it's difficult to get them from certain countries (I work with international high schoolers and certain countries like Mexico tend to be super responsive, while any Central American country is like pulling teeth). Then they have to be translated/transcribed, then there may be disagreements over the exact level/content of the course that need to be ironed out.

I could easily see it being a few months to get an answer, particularly for smaller countries that US institutions aren't used to dealing with. There will be more questions on the American/NCAA end that need to be clarified before a student's level can be determined.

I'd pay good money to watch the guys pick teams playground-style and scrimmage.

Curious which team you’d take to win a best-of-three…

Team Kylan:
  • Kylan Boswell (Captain)
  • Andrej Stojakovic
  • Zvonimir Ivisic
  • Ben Humrichous
  • Jake Davis
  • Brandon Lee
Team Tomi:
  • Tomislav Ivisic (Captain)
  • Ty Rodgers
  • David Mirkovic
  • Mihailo Petrovic
  • Keaton Wagler
  • Jason Jakstys

I actually like both of those teams. It would be nice if we could combine them into one amazing super team. ;)

Maybe they can bring back midnight madness and have a scrimmage!

Team Kylan 2-1. Tomi goes 6-8 from distance with Euro-assists from Petrovic in their win.
