12:15 game today with Detroit doing a bullpen game to save their rotation for their upcoming games versus the Guardians.......lets get the win and series win and continue on this hot streak......

Herrera is playing his best baseball right now in a Cardinals uni........red hot at the plate......

Seems like moving Arenado to 6th in the lineup is working so far.......read some good articles this morning about the Cardinals are out performing a lot of the pundits expectations.....I liked that a lot....I really really did.........

Seems strange to see so many empty seats at home......Maybe if great play continues we will see bigger crowds especially after school's let out for summer vacations............LET'S GO CARDINALS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Attendance (at least tickets sold) is usually pretty baked in before the season, especially for the seats you see on TV, as most of those are season tickets. But attendance will definitely pick up as the weather warms up (been a tough late May in STL). I haven't seen any super crazy ticket packages they've offered, which they usually do when sales are bad, so the Cardinals likely think attendance will pick up naturally as well.

Walker has to swing at anything close but takes a low change up for called strike 3.........so disappointing how his career is digressing....it really really really is...........................

I don't know if this has always been a thing with the Apple TV+ games but you can apparently listen to the local radio calls of the game while you're watching it instead of the game announcers. And they've got it pretty well synced up too so there's not really much of a delay between the two.

Exciting game tonight against the D-Backs........Marmol got tossed for arguing balls and strikes.....Arenado just hit a bases loaded triple to get the Cardinals to a 4-1 lead and knock out Zac Gallen in the bottom of the 6th.......

Home plate ump Ron Culpa has had an inconsistent strike zone tonight with both clubs chirping.......The auto K zone can't come soon enough for me..............JMHO............

Top of 7th and Jo Jo R. replaces Mikolas after he had 6 strongs innings...........................

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!

Cardinals beat the D-Backs 4-3 tonight with the usual Ryan Helsley drama in the 9th inning save opportunity..............Cardinals continue on their hot streak and are playing great baseball with a 14-4 record as of late....................

and yes Tricia Whitaker is NL worthy.........she really really is.......................JMHO....................

Libby day. He has been great thus far. I was for sure that trade wasn't going to work out, but it looks like he has found something and I'm here for it.

I guess I need a little clarification. St Louis (Leahy and Matz) gave up the lead in the top of the 8th.
The Cardinals retook the lead in the bottom of the 8th. Helsley came on to pitch in the top of the 9th with StL leading. Why would he get the win instead of the save? Was it the scorekeeper's discretion? Typically Matz would get charged with a blown save alone with credit for the win.

Cardinals complete the 3 game sweep of the D-Backs with another 1 run victory this season by the score of 4-3...........

Phil Maton with his 2nd save of the year.....................
Winn with his 6th HR..................
Sonny Gray with another quality start..................
Donovan with 3 hits........dude is a hitting machine.....my favorite Cardinal playing on this team now.....

Cardinals playing .800 baseball winning 16 of their last 20 games.........

I can honestly say the Cardinals have far exceeded my expectations SO FAR this season.............they really really have...........

Keep it up guys.................................

I have grown so accustomed to Donovan getting his hits that I didn't even notice he had three. He or possibly Winn is probably the best player on this team right now. There is so much to be pleased about. Arenado's bat isn't what it used to be but he keeps making spectacular plays with his glove and shows the young guys how effort and hustle pays off. Contreras makes the seamless transition to1st base. Walker showing progress in RF and at the plate. The pitching has been good as of late. A long way to go but way ahead of where I thought they would be at this point.

I'm right there with you. But it's not just Walker. Dylan Carlson was supposed to be the next superstar. Then Grichuk was, but he was mostly on the IL. Now I wonder when you pull the string on Gorman; His defense is solid, but he's never become the power hitter we expected to see. All he does is strike out. All these guys have become dispensable; so disappointing. OTOH, Donovan is quietly becoming one of baseball's best. Solid defense wherever you put him, and he's hitting well over .300. .328 to be exact. In modern baseball, that's a rarity. He's the best player on the team.

I learned the same thing; had no idea.

So I found some further clarification on this. The reason they were able to advance is because Arenado threw the ball from the stands (which I can get him doing based on instinct). Had he thrown it to one of his teammates after he came out of the stands, the Arizona runners don't advance. He was interviewed postgame and said he was fine though he got treatment for about 30 minutes after the game.

Clearly the Cardinals shouldn't have gotten rid of Carlson...

I think I heard Jack Buck say so years ago. If not him. I heard it on a broadcast or on the radio somewhere.

Then again, perhaps it's just my imagination. Who knows for sure.
