Big Ten wins back to back Natty's and all of a sudden SEC trying to win football games with press releases???

Lol, he put that snarky little turd in his place and did it professionally. Didn't go full Beamer or old-school Gundy, just handled it with a sharp, simple, well-placed fact. What you're seeing now is SEC fans scrambling to come to terms with the fact that they might not be nearly as dominant as they've always believed. And yeah, they're not taking it well.

love Big Man Bielema. He usually doesn’t go looking for trouble (though sometimes it kinda seems like he might), but he never backs down.

I would absolutely want to live in the past if I were an SEC fan. They dominated for most of a decade.
Recently though, you have back to back national champs from the BIG, the season prior having 2 BIG teams in the 4 team format (and that 1 point loss to Georgia.) , and no end to it in sight. The landscape is shifting with the best PAC-12 teams coming in and NIL & transfer rules changing the underbelly of the sport. Very different today. Saban retiring didn't hurt the BIG either.

Is it a surprise that NIL leveled the playing field? Even before NIL schools like Iowa and Wisconsin were able to put together solid teams. With NIL in the mix, B1G schools that were previously less aggressive re: paying players can do so legitimately and they have deeper pockets available to them.

"You don't want to play FB in the snow" said the SEC recruiter...

Do you not sign with the NFL because you got drafted by the Bills? Are you asking coach to sit out the November game in Chicago?

Would like the field to be as big as possible. I love a good underdog story.

Just don't know that it's financially viable anymore.

Not me. Some will always want more, I don't think it's good for the game. The NFL sends 14 teams to the playoffs and the NCAA want's to send 16? Keep it the same as last year, but change the seeding process. That was expected to be a farce, and proved to be a farce. Let's get the seeding correct and run it as-is for a couple years. They need to have some guardrails, and I think EVERY change needs to be worked out via a minimum 2 year cycle. It should be illegal to change the playoff structure without an evaluation phase. I'd make it 3-4 years personally. The NCAA Football Tournament should be 12 teams only, which I still dislike. But the almighty dollar bekons to all, until it eventually destroys you......

Summary article of the SEC/ Bielema thing:
Fair analysis. I'm glad that they accepted BB's challenge to look into things. FInal thought, for me. The times, they are a-changing! Get the SEC playing a 9 game conference schedule for a couple years, and then let's look at the numbers...
