THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Cardinals team faces bad luck with a growl and a sneer as they pull out a walk off victory by a score of 2-1 holding the Dodgers to only 1 run over the first 18 innings of this 3 game series.............We go for the sweep tomorrow..................

Fedde follows up Sonny Gray with his own 5 1/3 innings of shutout pitching.........
Winn's speed gets the Cardinals to the lead in the bottom of the 8th at 1-0.....
Dodgers score on first a batted ball hitting second base and a corresponding wild pitch by Helsley in the top of the 9th.......more drama.........
Gorman with a first pitch hammered double to right.......
Pages with a perfect bunt with it played for an error.........
Arenado sits around all game long then faces a new pitcher he never batted at before and hits a fly ball single to left for the win......

One of oldest rules in baseball has been in play in the last 2 games. Good pitching counter acts good hitters.

Not sure how long they can keep Barrero. He’s not good in the outfield and not good hitting.

5-2 now......I probably gonna start back on my binge series watching.......Animal Kingdom is what I'm bingeing right now.......

I don't know how people can do it. Binging. I can't get more than an episode or two and I have to turn the TV off. There is a 3 part series on Mr Lincoln. After watching 4 or 5 times I'm only on the 2nd part. About 30-45 minutes tops. And I love watching shows on Lincoln. My wife and I will sit down and watch NCIS or Mandalorian reruns. If she isn't there I don't watch them. Sometimes I flip to a movie that's half over. Other times I get up and go do something else. Even a Cardinal game that they are winning. 2-3 innings is my max. I may come back and watch the last innings but I simply no longer have the patience to watch a full 9.

For those who don't have FanDuel Sports Network Midwest, today's game will also air on FS1.

And while lineups haven't been announced as of yet, it sounds like they'll move Noot out of the leadoff spot for the time being, at least until he gets out of the prolonged slump he is on. He may possibly get a day off today but going forward we may end up seeing someone like Winn hitting leadoff.

What was the Brewers problem with Contreras? I was listening to the Milwaukee radio when their first baseman was hit. They said there will be an interesting conversation between the two of them. And later, Willson was hit.

Contreras backed into Kaleb Durbin as Durbin crossed first base and they ended up colliding with each other as Contreras was right in the baseline. Hoskins took exception to it and then later got plunked.

The Brew Crew and our Cardinals are sharing the same hotel next week in Chicago. Will see how those elevator rides go next week.

I am watching the game on DIRECTV 665, which is the White Sox channel.. I have to have a night free of Brad Thompson. The Sox announcers are doing a very good job.

Tonight's game postponed. Straight doubleheader tomorrow starting at 1:10 PM.

Fedde will start Game 1. McGreevy will start Game 2 and be the 27th man on the roster for the doubleheader.

Just as an FYI for everyone, tomorrow night's game will start at 6:15 PM rather than usual 7:15 PM Friday night start. Earlier start is due to Cole Swindell concert taking place after the game.
