THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!
In one of the best games this year the Cardinals outlast the unlovables for an 8-7 victory and are now only 2.5 GB.......
In another Helsley " drama " save opportunity a great great play by Arenado saves the game with a bare handed stab and a cannon throw nabs Swanson by a half step............
The nitty gritty Redbirds with another come from behind win , overcoming the unlovables 5 run third for their 5-2 lead to keep plugging away and getting an exciting W........
Donovan with 2 hits........
Masyn Winn with 2 hits , a 2 run smashed tater and 4 RBI'S
Nootbaar with his 11th homer.....
Stormin Gorman with 3 hits............
Maton with great pitching getting 2 K's....
Drama Helsley gets the save with help from Nado to end it..................
Might as well go for another win tomorrow and put some more heat on the unlovables..........

If Ohtani was not in the NL, PCA (he's a great player, no need to denigrate his initials) would be a legit MVP candidate along with Fernando Tatis Jr.
Great to see the Cards power up against one of the most formidable lineups in MLB. We always knew the Cards had a lot more long-ball power than we have been seeing. I love Gorman and we all knew he had enormous power. Now we're seeing that instead of strikeouts. Let's hope he has turned the corner.
