I will give a token "sunshine and rainbows up your butts" take on Sutter. You never know if Kalen DeBoer ends up on the hot sear, justly or unjustly.
No playoff this year and he will be warm. Expectations are different there.

Curious why Clayton has taken such a fall in the rankings from the time we landed him. Him and Alexander are really the two that have fallen dramatically.

He hasn't shown out at the QB satellite camps this summer. Not necessarily bad, but the QB movement in the summer before senior year is 90% the stars at the satellite and regional Elite 11 stuff.

Summer camps will get you the stars, but if you're committed to enrolling early at a program such as ours you'll get ignored.. Screw em all Illinois football's here to stay!!

Looks like Eberhart got another OU prediction. Perhaps we just keep the powder dry from Anderson/Sutter/Eberhart and see if we can flip anyone down the stretch after a successful season
And Anderson picked up two more predictions for Ole Miss on Rivals (1 yesteday, 1 today).

I'm guessing we'll get a sense of what the pivot will be in the coming weeks (could be trying to flip guys, shifting to late risers, or keeping spots open for transfers and '27s)

Not a fan of flipping, want our staff to be loyal to the O&B from the outset. Vala deserves some love and we should develop him into the pro that he going to be!!

We knew Sutter would be a battle with Bama throughout. The Anderson one is much moreso the killer. When's the last time a prospect has visited a program that many times without committing (Kai Prtichard?). Also have to include the final visit a week ago.

Doesn't even make sense at this point outside of maybe an absurd $$ offer at the last second
Most American's make short-sighted and poor decisions on critical things all the time (finances, health, career, partners, politics), not sure why we'd think 17 yr old kids would do better. C'est la vie.

I’m sure we will keep recruiting a TE , esp Sutter & Anderson . flipping commits is part of the deal . Also, BB might want a player with a couple years exp already .

still really surprised both lads went south to the SEC. the money bag must have been too large to ignore.

Have not followed recruiting as closely over the past several weeks. What happened to Anderson? Thought he was a shoe in.

This is a bananas take, I guess you didn't want Johnny Newton, Jaylen Stewart, Grant Beerman, Jack Paris, Dylan Frechette, Vernon Woodward, John Forster, Logan Farrell, and Tywan Cox just to name a few recent examples.
