Couldn’t tell if it was Koufax or Carlton that started for Colorado tonight.

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cardinals snap their 3 game losing streak and get their 1st win post All Star break with a 6-2 victory over the Rockies......

McGreevy with 7 strong innings giving up 7 hits and only 2 ER's....................this should be the 1st start for him being a regular in the rotation for the rest of the season.................
JoJo Romero and Phil Maton both with a solid one inning of relief and 2 K's...............................
Cardinals with 15 hits tonight.....Rocky Mountain High for sure....................
Contreras with 3 hits and 2 RBI's........his smashed tater was his team leading 13th of the season......
Masyn Winn with 3 hits and an RBI..........
good to see Donovan back in the groove with 2 hits and a SAC fly.......
Arenado and Walker getting 2 hits a piece....

I am in the process of bingeing the Deadwood series again so I took a vacation from the brutal displays of play from the Redbirds since the break and really enjoyed the change of scenery..........I really really did..............might do it again tonight..........

BTW , the Cardinals are back tied for 3rd with the Reds........................

So glad we gave up Edman for him

Well it's already 3-0 Rocks in just the second inning. Wait, now 4-0. Hard to stomach.

Blow it up Moz Chaim. Trade all the old or expiring contract players for whatever you can get.

Helsley, Romero, Matz.
Nootbar, Arenado (if anybody will take him and he agrees)

time to give up on
Walker, Gorman etc. If they can't hit MLB pitching after 3-4 years they never will.

Make room for young players to start and improve.

If you can't even beat the Rockies (or score one stinkin' run) where's the bottom?

It's going to get bad I fear. I had a post when they were 2.5 back and had the pirates and Cubs in the same week and what to do if things broke our way. I don't know if Mo came and told the kids then the for sale sign would be going up in the yard, but the play has been about as inspired as a family about to be broken up.
To be honest, it is the right choice long term, but these players are competitors and come to play to win and we fans want to watch wins and competitive baseball. When you play over your head and do everything that is asked, I'd imagine it would absolutely suck to be told that the party is over in July. Some of the young guys are about to get a crash course on the business side of pro sports.

See ya Fedde. How many more games do we get to see some room service 91mph fast balls from Miles?

Might be stuck with Mikolas for a while yet. McGreevy is here and in the rotation but others who could be here are hurt at Memphis. Roby and Hence, who seem to always be hurt are hurt again and Matthews is as well. Need to get at least one of those guys healthy and pitching at Memphis before banishing the Lizard King to the back of the Pen. Leahy could maybe be a solution but he'd need some time to build up pitch count.

Can’t remember the Cardinals scoring this many runs against Darvish before, especially in only 2 innings.

Cardinals with a 6 run 2nd inning on 3 run smashed taters by Donovan and Contreras.........wow.......7=2 Cardinals........

Tatis with a long fly bringing it to 7-3.............................

#773
Another home plate umpire that doesn’t know the strike zone, for both teams.

#774
way to go JoJo.....................................shuts down the top of 6th.............

#775
JoJo with a K-K-K inning...................excellent outing...................1 2/3 innings , 4 K's..................
