Stormin Gorman with a 423 ft smashed tater off a lefthander ties the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the 2nd...........

Nootbaar looks lost in space with a .227 BA...........12 HR & 37 RBI's , but he is striking out with alarming frequency...........

I have to give Fedde a medium pat on the back for his best performance in a long long time today but still hope he is traded at the deadline...........

Winn swings at ball 4 three times before grounding out. He’s not the only one that does this.

Atlanta pitcher comes in with about a 7 ERA and pitches 3 innings giving up one walk.

Contreras follows up with swinging at ball 4 on a pitch a foot outside and in the dirt for a strikeout.

Pozo with a blast!

Pozo swings at a pitch down low and misses and the very next pitch there he hits a HR..........

great insurance run later on with a Gorman bunt , a VS II sac bunt and All Star Donovan laces an RBI single....

Helsley 9th inning drama is getting tiresome.....Braves announcer's just said Helsley's FB is being hit at a .421 BA.....unreal.....

I'm getting a vibe that Helsley might find a new home soon..........

well , this game sucked big time...............................it really really did........................

He's always had monster potential and we keep waiting for him to fill that up....we've been here before with some promising young guys, but it never panned out. Think Carlson, Walker, and Grichuk to name a few.

Looked like Oli’s parting shot to the home plate umpire was to go eff himself!

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!

Cardinals outlast the Braves in an often delayed game by the score of 5-4....nuff said....

After reading a lot of articles about the Liam Doyle selection by the Cardinals it seems to be a change in theory by them about the past selections of groundball pitchers to a top of the rotation talent with plenty of swing and miss potential with an aggressive style of competitive manner of play.........I like this pick a lot as he has been described as a warrior on the mound and in the fitness arena....
He lost 19-20 lbs and his stuff took off...........Now for the future it's doubtful the Cardinals will continue to be picking this high but the change from groundball SP's to high heat is welcomed by me.....it really really is..............

Love drafting swing and miss. I thought for sure the luck would be Jamie Arnold after how the first 4 went. Like you, I like what I'm reading about him. I'd bet he was the selection because he can be on the big squad relatively quick.
You never know, we might get a top 6 if we miss the playoffs and the lottery breaks our way again.

Good to see Donovan get a couple of hits...
yep ...................both AB's for Donnie had the announcers talking to Alonzo and then Boone and Roberts........didn't hear that he is top 3 in BA for the NL.....................my homerism for the Cardinals coming out...........lol

Julio Urías will be reinstated soon. Any takers? Boras as an agent is more of a turn off than his domestic batter charges to me.

See some articles saying the Cardinals should trade Donovan. The dumbest thing they could do.

#725
Why, because he does his job well and gets his clients the best deal possible? Call me crazy but that seems nowhere near as bad as domestic battery.
Sorry. It was meant to be a joke. I was at the office and someone dropped in. I posted it before adding a disclaimer and forgot about it.
I have zero tolerance for spousal abuse. I once offered to drive my father in law 10 hours to his daughter's house to "speak" with his s-i-l about hitting his wife.
