I'd much rather spend the money locking in whatever we can return of our starters (most will be out of eligiblity or going to the league). Throw that earmarked QB portal money at bringing in replacement O and D Line/outside linebacker--just my assessment but those seem like the spot that we will need to backfill the hardest.
Other places like WR/DB/Safety we have some young talent that I'd hope makes the steps up and gets a shot at starting. REALLY hard to not dip your toes in the portal for some 23 year old linemen with 4 or 5 years of college strength and conditioning under their belt.
