He better do something. It would be criminal to not get something for Helsley and then lose him to Free Agency this offseason. Is that numb nuts mozelak going to do anything...![]()
Read another article said Baez is a 3B and their # 5 prospect. Numbers in Low A aren’t impressive.
His numbers aren't bad actually. .740 SLG in A+ this season. Last season as a 19 year old he flashed one of the best 90th percentile exit velocities in the Florida State League (Single-A). Will he ever produce in the majors? Who knows. All prospects are lottery tickets to some degree.Read another article said Baez is a 3B and their # 5 prospect. Numbers in Low A aren’t impressive.
Especially when he's going to come back and pitch for the cardinals next year...His numbers aren't bad actually. .740 SLG in A+ this season. Nobody was going to give us one of their top prospects for a rental on a relief pitcher (even a really good one). This seems like a pretty good return all-in-all.
Close 20,813Can't wait for them to announce tonight's attendance. Actually, probably 5000. They will say 29,050.
They did give up a lot but Miller is under team control for another 4 years after this season, and they also got JP Sears who is under team control for another 3 after this season.Padres gave up a ton to get flame throwing reliever Mason Miller from the A's...........they really really did..........
I've been to Dozer Park to watch the Chiefs a few times. It's a nice facility. For those in central Illinois and want to see some of the Cardinals prospects they got at the deadline, it sounds like the 3 players they got from the Mets along with the player they got from the Rangers are all going to report to Peoria.
