Sox are 18-21 since the halfway point of the season, a winning PCT of .4615. With 42 games left, that would give them 19 more wins.

44+19 = 63. :)

What’s important is that this good young Sox core players develop a winning attitude overall and adopt daily winning ways. Get used to it. Expect it. Go out and grab it. And along with that... a healthy hatred of losing. Any good or great team in any sport learns these things.

This team is already not the team that left Spring Training. Not only is this a different group of guys in the clubhouse – but they play much better together as a team and their expectations are higher.

But they STILL need relief pitching they can depend on.

The Sox now have three good young catchers on the ball club. If they don’t find a great deal to move one of them... they need to see which of these guys can play another position beyond just DH. This is one position on the Sox which should be set for the next 10 years.

I vote to keep both of them. After all, one of the could be the next Adley Rutschman.

More specifically, one of them could turn out to be a major disappointment like Adley Rutschman and we don't know which White Sox player that will be yet.

It has been an interesting year for the White Sox. Going into the season, Noah Schultz was the #1 prospect and the shimmer on former #1 prospect Colson Montgomery had dulled. Fast forward to September and it has been kind of a lost season for Schultz (back on DL for knee), while Colson hits his 17th HR in just his 50th game (181 ABs). The .227 BA and 56 strikeouts are certainly a concern, but definitely plenty of positives to build upon.

Other positives both at big league and minor league levels have the needle pointing upward, though it still looks like it will be a steep climb. The overall talent has been increased, but White Sox still lack stars. Finish strong and hopefully next season continues stacking some more successes. Still might not yield the number of victories we want to see, but progress is being made.

Lot of fun to watch. They have an opportunity to add to this core with FA's......however, Jerry is still alive and won't spend money

Not sure that at the point the Sox are that adding much in the way of FAs for next year really makes a lot of sense even if Jerry wasn’t the owner. Probably not what most fans want to hear, but I think Sox will and should concentrate on relatively lower priced reclamation projects that hopefully can be traded at deadline for prospects. If they are going to spend any real money (and still not talking big money), I hope it is on relievers. The last couple of trade deadlines have shown that RPs will be in demand.
