There’s live game work to be done between Luke and pass catchers. Don’t want to be trying things out for the first time next week.
In last year’s opener, I count 11 different players that caught passes for the

Luke made all but five of the passing attempts in that game.
I’d expect that the number of pass catchers will exceed last year’s.
Players need the live work, and Coach B needs to sell tickets for upcoming games.
Folks not really seeming to ‘get it’ yet regarding this year and it being a big effing deal for Coach B and the program. This whole thing is a momentum dealio. Gotta get it rolling, on the field and in the stands.

Was fortunate to be part of 1983 as a Freshman student. In football, lost the opener, and ended strangely, but in between, team won 10 consecutive and beat the big names on our home field. Sold out stadium of then capacity +70,000. Goal posts came down twice. Fans lined the very edges of the south endzone all the way around while the game was still going. A yellow nylon rope held by ushers right at the out of bounds lines to keep us back

.
Even when the team trailed the buckeyes and the wolverines, you just knew that the Illini would prevail, and they did!
Said it before on here. Dang good chance in 2025 to set a program record for wins in a season. Staff, players, schedule all aligned. Don’t know when this opportunity will realistically come around again.
This year’s freshman class has the best opportunity to experience same school year high level success in football and basketball since 1983-84’s Rose Bowl and Elite Eight.
Go Illini.
