After hours of crunching stats and then quiet contemplation, I did 3 shots and am going with 27-20 in favor of BB and the Lukeocytes.
I came up with the same but it only required two shots! 3rd shot got even better! 27-17 Illini!
That is how it’s done bada bing bada boom!

I emailed him about not ranking Illinois. I was not disrespectful or anything; I just asked why he was the only voter who did not rank Illinois. No response, of course. Did you also notice he did not rank four other ranked teams, but they are all ranked 20th and below (Ole Miss at 20, Tennessee at 22, Indiana at 23, and Utah at 25th), so those four are a little more understandable, but not Illinois at 11th. Ridiculous.
Way to go!

I believe the Illini have only one loss to an unranked team by more than a touchdown over the past 3 seasons (at Purdue). Bielema has established competence.
2023 - Nebraska was unranked. So was Kansas IIRC.

That team had a very underrated turnaround from being totally uncompetitive to, IMO, being the better team in every game starting from @MD. Take out the 2 NW muff punts, and the Newton targeting that's a 7 win team. Plus we lead the entire Iowa game - which included a blatant 1st down ruled short inside the 10.

Now I admit to having little memory of all the games, but I have it written in my notes.... heading into that Saturday vs Iowa (week 11), Illinois needed exactly 5 things to happen to win the west: beat Iowa, beat Northwestern, Wisconsin beat Nebraska, Nebraska beat Iowa, Minnesota beat Wisconsin.

I believe all of those games finished within one score.

At the Mac DeMarco concert in Baltimore this evening with my daughter. Please note the color scheme for the lighting. Yeah. It was striking orange. Signs and omens.

4-1/2 hours of sleep, a 4-hour drive to Durham with @Retro62 and my daughter, and a nice southern breakfast at a diner on the way awaits me sitting here writing this at Zero Dark Thirty.

There will be (Blue Devil) blood.

There will be Victory Illinois Varsity.

And there will be Red Bull involved.

It could be the large amount of edibles/beer that I've consumed, but that glow looks Red to me. I see Yellow in LED 2-6 (clockwise on top). Yellow+Red=
