Is it common for the AD to go to so many games? He is always out supporting the team wherever they play! So thrilled with where the program is at and heading!
Generally speaking, power conference ADs attend most football games. That’s the money train.

Plus, I’m sure Whitman is really enjoying this resurgence. He’s an alum, a former player, and a fan. If you were the boss and could go, wouldn’t you? :)

Kudos to all the coaches for making the halftime adjustments.

With that being said, you have to get the OLine in a rhythm early with the running game. Duke's first drive was a perfect example.
It sets up so much opportunity for later, and it gets the offensive linemen comfortable early.
They were getting trucked in the first half with so many predictable passing plays and 3rd and longs.

Maybe Duke's front 7 are just really good, but the Oline went from being my least concerning thing...to maybe the most concerning thing after this game.
Tackling would be 1b.

That was an exciting game but a bit worrying for a lot of it. Happy we got it going in the second half. We looked great in the 4 quarter.

But the O and D lines have some work to do if we want to play with the big boys this season. O Line got manhandled most of the game. Luke was on the ground way too often (partially his fault as well).

It's a pretty strange feeling to think we didn't really play great in a 45-19 win on the road vs. an ACC team with a good coach that went 9-4 last year, and a high-cost, high-profile QB capable of putting up huge numbers.

We are not as good as we're going to be, IMO.

Loved being there for this one, despite the fact that I look like a lobster ready to be served. Gotta remember sunscreen 🤨. A huge contingent of Illini fans—the videos as Bret and Luke were leaving don’t reflect just how many Illini were there. Frankly, we played a C+/B- game overall, although the second half was obviously better. I’m excited about being at the IU game in a couple of weeks.

Burt called out that the play of the game was a coach catching the double 8s.

Given the huge swing in the 2nd half based on adjustments this felt like a coaching win..
