We aree livin' the dream fellow Illini. We have the best combination of AD, head football coach, and head basketball coaches (both men's and women's) we have ever had, maybe in the history of Illinois sports. A lot to look forward to, as our main coaches are signed to long term contracts. We are in the golden age, let's go out and win some championships.

Feeling quite confident here, but mostly looking towards week 4 @ IU. The win today has me VERY confident about heading into Bloomington. We’ll be their first real matchup.

REALLY worried that JC Davis isn't 100%. Will the coaches let that be known in the media? I doubt it.
Need to get some game reps airing the ball out and taking the top off the defense. Think our slant/quick game is looking good but need that deep threat to keep teams honest.

Western Michigan today lost to North Texas 33-30 in OT.
I don't think there's a chance Davis is 100%. I'm not taking away from the Duke pass rush, which was very good today, but Davis didn't look anything like himself today in the trenches. If he's hurting, this seems like a good let him recover game as we're going to need him healthy in the weeks ahead.
With you here. He was definitely having his problems. He needs to sit this next one out. Hate to see him miss the reps, but that type of edge play can't happen again.

I've seen people compare him to Ladd McConkey or Wes Welker. Will be interesting to see how he produces when defenses start to focus on him more. I think his route running and football IQ to find space is going to get him open regardless.

It is not a revenue sport, but Illinois women soccer have a new coach this year (Katie Hultin) and she has the team 7-0 after this afternoon's win over Valparaiso. It is the first time that Illinois soccer has been 7-0 in 21 years. It might be too early to tell, but maybe Josh Whitman got another good one with this hire.
Someone on the game thread yesterday called him the Swiss Army Knife! I don’t remember who it was to give proper credit, but I thought that was a great description.
Whenever I see a Swiss Army Knife I can't help but to think MacGyver.
