First game of the year this season and my wife is telling me parking has changed... We have parked at Research Park mainly but it's saying that lot is sold out... Can anyone help guide us in a good direction on this?

We're headed down in the am so our son can do the Ayo basketball camp, so will be there all day!
From the standpoint of prepaid parking passes, all lots are officially sold out. I do believe, however, that there will be a number of first come, first served spots available for the Research lot. Given the game is later, and you already plan on getting there very early for a basketball camp, I would suspect that you have a very good shot at securing one of the first come, day-of-game parking spots at Research Park.

If you were planning on getting to the game closer to kickoff, then I would agree that you would be looking much further out for parking.

If this team figures out the run/pass balance (this is code for moar ValenTIME) and pass protection....with Luke improving on his reads...

Look. Out.
I initially read this “with Luke improving on his meds”. I was wondering if he had pass rush anxiety he was popping a pill for. Lol.

You think like me. At least occasionally a two back set allows you to keep the D from fully committing to what they know we're going to run.

I mean it's a little tongue in cheek. The college game is so different from the pros because of the differences in skill and mismatches at most positions, and the inability to install complex schemes on offense because of player turnover.

The spread and RPO take advantage of those skill mismatches, and are much easier to install in the college world.

Too much speed in the NFL to spread them out and rely on mismatches.

However, I think Luke is one of the smartest QB's in CFB, and we have an old, experienced Oline. So just like we ran that wildcat set with MVB at QB, I think there would be no real issues with some of these two back sets that would take advantage of a 250lb HB and a jitterbug bolt that is one block away from popping a big gain on any play.

Not to mention, you force the defense to stack the box with 7-8 leaving at least 2 receivers man to man with the safety making a run/pass read.

A good QB/RB fake or draw, one RB pass block, one RB out into the flat, one WR on a curl, one on a slant. If the S bites on the RB, the slant is a HR.

At least parking was free there even though our seat geek tickets didn’t come thru and we had to buy tickets at the box office.

If they do, it will allow Bowick, Dixon, and Clement to get more looks. I believe Hank will get open regardless.
Had Bowick had that catch vs WIU his stats would be real lofty at the moment. Could've easily had 5 TDs through two games (also had the one just ruled short against Duke).

Very possibly another 600+ yard receiver along with Beatty.

Can the DIA please have a plethora of drones up in the sky taking pictures for this one?? We got a few great pictures from last year's KU and Michigan games, but it happens FAR too often that our social media will use some backdrop of Memorial Stadium from a game 2-3 years ago where we only had an attendance of like 45k. 🤦‍♂️ I cringe every time I see this photo reposted, lol.

And it's STILL the official photo for Memorial Stadium on the FightingIllini.com for some bewildering reason! Please, for the love of God, start using some of these!

Count me in for the Ole Daryl Royal Texas original Wishbone offense, of course we would need at least 4 QB's😆

This was helpful, thank you! Any idea what they will be going for? I thought around $30, but some are saying they've gone up to $50-$100?

I don't think "day-of" will ever be more than $30 in person, for Research Park or Vet-Med.

The secondary market market (Stubhub & SeatGeek), however; have the price gouged numbers you described.

I was going to ask why are you pleading here instead of contacting them directly? I then realized it's likely they already blocked you years ago lol

Haha, can't say I have ever tried ... but I honestly feel like catching the eye of an insider here and just hoping he/she ever said something is more worthwhile than complaining to whomever they have answering the phones. :ROFLMAO:
