If I recall correctly, Foster had a terrible time at Media Day prior to the 2024 season. Just not sure he was sufficiently prepped for this big stage. Wonder whom UCLA might now target.

VaTech should go after Beamer Jr.

The Walking Success Poster in LA should check out. All flash, little substance.

Fleck would be a great hire for them. Folks can trash him but he’s been Minnesota’s best coach since the 50’s.

I would be shocked if Fleck has real interest (his agent will leak interest for a pay bump) unless UCLA’s decides to make an unprecedented investment in football.

Not sure why Fleck gets bashed...in the past 7 seasons the only season Minny wasn't bowl eligible was the Covid year
He’s a slightly above-average coach who has made a name with a bunch of hokey motivational sayings.

He’s the smarmy motivational speaker at your afternoon conference general session where you’re counting the minutes to the break so you can get to the Diet Coke and Scotcheroos in the lobby.

Unless UCLA goes for a 'splash' hire like USC did with Lincoln Riley, they will probably continue to struggle... They do have some NIL money, but their DIA is deeply in debt - More than UI I'm pretty sure. They are very good in the olympic sports and while that's a great thing to do, it's really EXPENSIVE to carry out.. This will be a longer term build, from the ground up, and it won't be easy... This firing might (emphasis: might) be a signal that they will get serious about football again... But its hard to know where the money will come from.

they have 1000’s of well heeled monied alumni . They need a new AD who has a track record of raising money .

I’m not worried about losing Josh, but I would be concerned about losing Josh’s #1 assistant .
