All the 'Yes, buts' and 'take into considerations' on this thread are nauseating. Don't be a McAfee baby fan, or you'll be sobbing in a locked bathroom after their first score. Don your orange, be bold, GET LOUD, visit the Pruman cafe if you have to. The Illini are riding into Bloomington like a bolt of Orange thunder, like the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor, and will lay waste to those pansy-scheduling Losiers.
In Bret, (and Luke, and Gabe) I trust.

It’s flying proudly. C’mon Illini!!!
Love the flag. But, I'm jealous of that lush green freshly mowed fescue. That's one of the things I really miss since moving to Tulsa from Peoria -- Bermuda can look good, but never like fescue.

My freshly mowed Bermuda lawn will look great with the orange tint that it's going to get from an Illini win this evening!

Sir, we've taken very different history classes if this is what you were taught.

Yeah, that was out 10 years before I was born. I've only watched it once lol
"You f*d up. You trusted us."
The most great lines of any movie?
But to link it to the topic, I wish I had a clip of Otter pointing to his brief case, indicating "it's in the bag "

Duke had 13 points at halftime. Rushing 15 carries for 53 yards, 3.53 ypc. Not exactly lighting up the Illinois line. Duke had early success through the air for sure which is an ongoing concern but they never really got the run going.
There's no sense in going back and forth between what should have been vs what actually happened. We only let up 13, it should have been 28, but again....only reality counts.

I want to be clear, I want this game desperately. I'm going to be at a wedding, but I'll be taking a peek at my phone and I'll be pi$$ed if we lose. That said, TO DATE, even my completely biased eyes see problems with both lines. Thx offensive line, what was supposed to be the bread and butter, have been picking Luke off the ground way too many times. The pass pressure has been a problem whether it be ending in a sack or having him run for his life.

The stats are what they are, but I see a defensive line that besides Jacas, who is doubled and chipped every play, I don't see a lot of guys winning their one on one matchups.

Maybe I'm just being negative and am being extremely cautious, which is extremely plausible, but IMO, the level of play needs to go up about ten notches to stay in this one. Indiana, by no means, are world beaters, but what they are is fast and that worries me against our group and what I've seen from their play.
