Good news is we’re a second half team.
This hurts me badly to say this, but they are better than we are. Both of their lines are dominating us, and their skill players are better. And they have way more intensity. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap.

We've been getting beat on the lines, sure, but not this badly. And the special teams and secondary are just non existent (I know we have injuries and ejections
). We look completely unprepared for this game, and that is not good for a team that looked very prepared for a bowl and won 10 games last year. Our recruiting in the trenches has to improve drastically. Been saying it for 3-4 years.illini80

Indiana is several rungs above Illinois, I hate to say. Better strap it up the rest of the season, you aren’t going to be able to just show up and beat these conference teams. Even Purdue.
Go under center with Valentine as the back on offense... Defense hang in there and make Mendoza throw to the sideline that's not a quick pass. Blitz all night long and roll coverage when Cooper goes in motion
