No, I think you're right. We get this so-called toughness deficiency in our heads and it blots out what's actual.

Reads Big East to me TBH

that's been my assumption for a bit too

If they push, think they have a really good shot here.

interesting. in a vacuum, I'd push (which doesn't mean there'd be no constraints). the big issue I see is we don't really know who's gonna be back and won't for awhile. the 5 to play 5 complicates things even further. Brad alluded to this yesterday, at length.

He's not coming here with 2 PGs already on the roster

Plus we are out of $ for this year

EDIT: I guess it is fake anyhow... fooled me lol

If you have the cash you can make it work. Look at Louisville's roster.

Boswell's also ideally a 2 guard.

If you have the cash... that's what I said

McNeely is the only point guard on Louisville's roster, they don't have a guard under 6'4 let alone play 3 of them big minutes

Boswell is a point guard

Mikel Brown is and will be the point guard.

Agree with the overall point (even if Pettiford did enter) our roster wouldn’t work though. That said, I do think O was his lead recruiter at UK and obviously has the jersey and NY ties

They have 4 absolute starter guards on their roster (mcneely, brown, conwell, wooley). Nothing wrong with being so, but it's a money grab team in every which way.

Boswell's a SG.

Hard disagree that Brown, a freshman, will be the PG of a team that has Isaac McNeely on it

Regardless, they will not be playing 3 guards that go 6-1, 6-1, 6-2 (and neither will we, thankfully)

He was the number 6 overall recruit in the country - I imagine he expects to start.

Even then, Mikel brown is certainly more of a point guard than mcneely who didn’t even crack 3 assists at Virginia.

They’re stacked at guard between Conwell, mckneely, Wooley and Brown - but I think brown far and away is the most true creator there. But you’re right, he’s a freshman, gotta show it first

So? I expect to make a million dollars in the stock market today

What does the coach want? Probably a 4th year senior running the show, and showing the new kid the reigns

If he does start, great... they still are not playing a trio of tiny guards (as they have zero tiny guards)

And you also got Conwell. Literally no team is even close to being as loaded with that mant guards.

And you also got Conwell. Literally no team is even close to being as loaded at the guard spot.

You guys are missing the original point, which was that it would not be ideal to have 3 tiny guards play major minutes

All of those guys are 6'4 or taller

Would imagine the coach wants the best players and lineups on the floor, tbh. And right now, brown is projected as a top ten pick.

Would be stunned if he didn’t get big time minutes running the show.

Agree

And they are all 6'4 or taller

EDIT: Though KJ was also a projected lottery pick and him 'running the show' was an adventure at times
