Wish him the best and appreciate what it meant to the program when he committed.

In the end he just wasn't good enough. Simple as that. No matter how fast you can run or how high you can jump you still have to make cuts, get open, and catch the ball. He didn't. Maybe he'll go somewhere and the switch will come on for him. As long as it's not one of our competitors I hope it works out for him.

Do the players get paid as an employee this starting this year? Might need to rethink plans for redshirting if the intent is to transfer. How much you will get to play vs salary for the season. Such as transferring out of power 4.

BB didnt want his involvement under those circumstances

i agree

if an employee quits, I don’t need two weeks notice . I shake hands , wish them well and basically then tell them “don’t walk , rather run” off the premises and leave NOW .

nothing good occurs fron supporting dead weight

I personally respect real self written statements in ink more .

thats how it was done for 2000 years and it worked fine

Kid’s gonna go to a bottom-level P4 team because he’s got an agent and he’s got the goal of going to the NFL. I’ll take a shot-in-the-dark guess that he goes to Wisconsin if Fickell is still there, followed by some some ACC team that gives him a guaranteed opportunity to start. Then, Idk.

I’ll say:
- Wisconsin
- Louisville
- Nebraska (bc I’d hate it)

Maybe I missed it, but why not stay with the team and practice? He could have entered the portal at a later date.
Don't think BB gave him that option.....think BB said a few times he couldn't keep him or something to that point.....but my mind is old and impaired on a regular basis , so......................................?

BB must not be too impressed with his football ability if BB is basically allowing the entire freshman class to redshirt and wouldn’t allow Elzy.

One hopes a student at an elite university might have writing skills.

Using the AI crutch for writing (vs maybe for research) seems sad. My now 41-year old still thanks me for encouraging him to take a business and technical writing course. Speaking, both one-on-one and to groups, is another vital life skill.
Lol.

The statement looked like every canned statement I've seen from other portal guys. Not sure what makes you convinced it's AI. Plus, he's got an agent. One presumes this fits in his job responsibilities.

Different generation. All high school, college and young professionals use it all the time. It does not mean that they don’t have writing skills. To them, it is a tool like a calculator or GPS.

Agree with 75% of your statements here. They (at least in my firm) want everyone using it, old and young. And it can be a useful tool.

But by definition, if you run your work through AI and then use the AI version, you are implicitly saying that the AI version (ergo the AI 'skill') was better than yours. Calculators are excellent tools also, but if you need one to know that 1+1=2 then your math skills are suspect as well.

And when we are all using AI and all getting the same output, then there will be nothing left to differentiate any inherent skillset and we can all meet in the online unemployment office.

To stay on topic, good luck Malik. Please don't go to a B1G school.

Wish Malik nothing but the best whoever he goes, but it seemed he never really consistently got separation on his routes - whether that was technique or or not. He seemed like a great kid doing what he thinks is best which you can’t blame him for
