Agree 100% there, but I guess I'd rather see Cignetti at Penn State than have him stay at IU and then get Urban Meyer or someone else at Penn State.

But personally I would go for Cignetti and Clark Lea with his GM Barton Simmons. I would monitor Joey McGuire with the Texas Tech GM, Kyle Shanahan for a Hail Mary, and look at Kliff Kingsbury if I could partner him with great GM.
Also on the GM front, I would offer this guy money and power to get him from Jerry Jones.

This would be the most underwhelming hire if I'm a Penn State fan. Franklin is a better coach. Rhule has had an even worse time in big games and the Nebraska definition of big game is just ranked. Not top 5 or top 10. Has he had a ranked win yet as Nebraska HC? I can't remember.
He has not. In fact, he didn't even have a ranked win at Baylor. The year he went 11-3 he was 0-3 vs ranked teams.
Urban Meyer hasn’t coached college since 2019 and has never dealt with the new NIL landscape. Not convinced he would be as successful.
If he does want back in, he’d likely shoot for a bigger brand than PSU.
If I were PSU, I would shoot for a higher character coach than Urban. (Remember when Urban was teaching leadership and character courses at OSU while having a known wife abuser on staff for years? There’s more baggage but I’ll leave it at that.)
