Cignetti.
i knew he coached at indiana u. in pennsylvania, but somehow thought he was from virginia or north carolina originally. he's from pittsburgh, went to school at wvu, and his first coaching gig was at pitt. interesting.
Cignetti.
Urban MeyerIf you are Penn State, who would you look at if James Frankin leaves?

there should be contractual prevention to keep coaches from jumping to other conference members .Cignetti

that would be a crappy move by PSU , imo

I will throw this in, their first call will be to another Big Ten coach, for him it will be a call from home.....Cignetti.
But personally I would go for Cignetti and Clark Lea with his GM Barton Simmons. I would monitor Joey McGuire with the Texas Tech GM, Kyle Shanahan for a Hail Mary, and look at Kliff Kingsbury if I could partner him with great GM.If you are Penn State, who would you look at if James Frankin leaves?
and hows that working out for them ?Penn State stole Ohio States defensive coordinator
I never heard about it with regards to recruitingthe B10 gentlemens' agreement on recruiting and poaching coaches are long gone
yeaAgree 100% there, but I guess I'd rather see Cignetti at Penn State than have him stay at IU and then get Urban Meyer or someone else at Penn State.
You pay Cignetti whatever it takesIf you are Penn State, who would you look at if James Frankin leaves?
And Ohio State stole UCLA’s head coach and made him an offensive coordinator.the B10 gentlemens' agreement on recruiting and poaching coaches are long gone.

This would be the most underwhelming hire if I'm a Penn State fan. Franklin is a better coach. Rhule has had an even worse time in big games and the Nebraska definition of big game is just ranked. Not top 5 or top 10. Has he had a ranked win yet as Nebraska HC? I can't remember.I will throw this in, their first call will be to another Big Ten coach, for him it will be a call from home.....

He has not. In fact, he didn't even have a ranked win at Baylor. The year he went 11-3 he was 0-3 vs ranked teams. This would be the most underwhelming hire if I'm a Penn State fan. I hear Jimbo Fisher & Gene Chizik are availableDan Mullen would be a somewhat under the radar hire - he's off to a great start with UNLV
If the axe swings in Happy Valley, they will go BIG. Dabo? Jim Bo Fisher?Dan Mullen would be a somewhat under the radar hire - he's off to a great start with UNLV

You are missing a major factor and I am not talking about winning at Templeno way that fandom would embrace Rhule
they need to aim higher than that
the author described his buyout as small........................wow , $ 56 M is small ?...........lol..............![]()
