That’s what I was wondering too. If defense causes offense to move isn’t that encroachment?
Not that it really matters at this point.
They controlled the line of scrimmage and moved at will. Their game plan was to control possessions. They did that well.
I didn’t expect a win, but we played very well and have killed ourselves.

Agree. We can't get any pressure on the QB and we can't move the line of scrimmage a yard to punch it in the end zone. Continues to be a problem, and likely will not change until recruiting and/or development improves. Not dismissing the mental errors, but some of them are a result of these line problems.
I agree. This feels Beckmanesque in me saying it, but it feels like had we played a clean game, we would've been right there with them today with a shot to win it. We really hurt ourselves today

I know this is minor, but how does this affect our rankings, you think? The only teams we’ve lost to our Ohio State, who is #1 and will remain #1, and Indiana who is #7 (maybe moves up even

I’ve enjoyed seeing a number in front of our team name for the last year and a half. I don’t want that to go away. This hasn’t been the embarrassment we were all afraid of, even though the score looks lopsided. Definitely still some things to fix, and as somebody else said, this sort of game proves we aren’t ready to compete with the big boys yet, but we definitely aren’t “pathetic”.

One thing I'll say, our tackling has been exceptional today. It really has. Our defense honestly deserved better today. People are going to look at the score, but man have they played their hearts out

We were down by 10 with a little more than 2 minutes left in the third. Hence “was”. OSU scores 14 points in 3:43 to go up by 24.
It’s been a good game. Couldn’t keep any momentum, but you showed you can hang with good talent. I think CFP hopes are probably done but this is a good team.
