Big picture: We're 5-2 with both losses to top 10 teams. The program is in a good place.

Small picture: There are plenty of stats from this game that show that we did play Ohio State better than any team so far this season, including before garbage time. Frustrating that we still never really had a chance.

Finally a bye week. Hopefully CV isn't out for the season. Just way too many mental mistakes offensively to beat a great team + 7 officials hell bent on protecting the golden team. Props to the defense for not rolling over and playing hard until the end.

Still have a great opportunity for an historic season. Let's heal up, prepare and run the table to finish out the schedule!

We absolutely had a chance, we just flushed it away with multiple big time mistakes.

Three turnovers were the difference in this game, period - 21 points we handed them on a platter. Their average starting position was their 49, ours was on our 27 (I think). We needed to be perfect, and we weren't. Proud of the effort, the fight by the team. Heal up, get ready for the next one.

I'm just glad the game is over so the defense can get off the field and not have be almost guaranteed to stay out there after third down.

Some mental mistakes and a couple unlucky plays but in reality they just have considerably more talent than us and not much we could do.
but we didnt take care of what was in our control. i don't mind when you're neaten by the better team if you play your best game, we didnt and that was frustrating.

its the game we've been building for since BB came here and we didnt execute.

just one game, and i still think this season is very likely to be a success but wish we could have played a cleaner game

Big games always come down to special teams and turnovers. OSU won that battle today and thus the game. Illini got a first hand look at what the best team in CFB looks like, and they didn’t blink. Played hard, and physical.

Definitely room to get better and I’m confident the best football is still ahead. 10-2 still in the table.
