Franklin in the coaching cycle-looking for a job... Cignetti the hottest coach in America right now... I'd throw the brinks truck at him if I were PSU.

Who would have thought we should have prayed for at Penn State instead of at Indiana/Washington going into the year?

Actually me, kinda.

If Indiana wins this... they won't lose the rest of the season- their schedule is soft as charmin... especially with PSU imploding.

Indinia gets an absolute gift of a spot on that 3rd down conversion....that would never happen to us.
I think he was barely short but they would have gone on 4th down and probably got it. Even if they kick the FG, up 10 with less than 4 minutes is basically game over.

30-20 Indiana and that’s with giving up a pick 6. Completely outplayed Oregon

Phenomenal win for them. Looking at their schedule I don’t see them losing the rest of the regular season.

1st Rd NFL QB, Cooper/Sarrat are NFL WRs, smart defense and a great coach

I think I said it somewhere before...but Indinia having a nationally relevant program as we rise up with BB is the most Illinois Football thing that could Illinois.

It's absurd.

Indy does not play Ohio State unless they meet in the championship game. Of course, both would need to win out.

Tremendous turnaround of the Indy program.., in record time.

Sorry, this is cope.
I'm not hoping that Indiana wins, just saying I'm not in the crew that hates Indiana because they thrashed us.
(In fact, part of me wants all the teams on our schedule to win all their other games. It helps us in the ratings )

What's really interesting (bad? favorable? disappointing?) about today's games is that outside of our own loss, almost every other game has been beneficial to Illinois' "look".

I'm not saying it won't happen, but Indiana having one of the 5 highest paid coaches in the country would be nuts. That's likely the offer they'd have to match.
Indiana has boosters with tons of money and they haven't been able to right the ship in basketball. Boosters will pivot to football. There's no reason to think Indiana wouldn't be able to match anyone, and they are certainly motivated to keep Cignetti.
