Could very well end the year 10-2 with our only 2 losses being to the number 1 and 2 nationally ranked teams.

And if im being totally honest (more of a comment on the big ten) I think we're the 4th best team at the current moment - and im really not sure it's a huge argument. Although I think Iowa is actually legit.

Hoping for a USC win tonight....need to hang a few losses on scum. If we can win at UW we are right there for the cfp.
At least the pollsters now have to put us above Michigan, right?

Watching the Purdue game with my wife. I’m rooting for Purdue just to increase our strength of schedule if they win. On that pick, I dropped my head back, groaned, and said, “why am I a purdue fan?” And my wife was like, “you’re not, you literally don’t have to care about this game at all.”

I feel better now.

What are you talking about? We were competitive today. Just had turnovers. We moved the ball and had more yards than OSU. We lost due to turnovers but we blocked, played solid D and moved the ball just didn't overcome mistakes of shooting ourselves in the foot. That's not the same as not being competitive.
More first downs too. Turnovers decided the game (with some help from the refs too).

Looking at Iowa's schedule it is definitely favorable for them to make a bit of a run.
No it’s not. They play Oregon at home, USC on the road and Nebraska on the road as there toughest games remaining. Even though Oregon didn’t look good against IU, they are still a top 10 team. USC still looks tough even though we beat them and even though Nebraska looked meh against Maryland, on the road at Nebraska is a tough to place to play.

Crazy that FSU beat Alabama in a year that Alabama turned out to be legitimately good, yet have now fallen to 0-3 in the ACC.

4 years ago, Wisconsin hosted #19 Penn St with a sold out crowd and Fox Noon Kickoff and today they lost 37-0 to fall to 0-3 in the B1G in front of a dozen fans.

2021:

Today:

Meanwhile, we’re now hosting ranked teams in Champaign with sold out crowds and Big Noon Kickoff.

Firing Chryst started Wisconsin's firing Solich story arc and Nebraska never fully recovered from their version.

I never thought I'd be able to use "moribund" in connection with "Wisconsin football," yet here we are!

I fully expect both teams will be out of the Top 25. There are 11 unbeaten teams, 16 one-loss P4 teams, and I think ND and Texas will be at the top of the two loss teams.

SEC will start eating its own next week with Ole Miss/Georgia, Tennessee/Bama, LSU/Vandy, Mizzou/Auburn.
