South Carolina, of all schools, is your dream job...

This is going to be a WILD carousel.
Florida, Arkansas, UCLA, PSU, VT, Ok St, Stanford so far in the P4.
Auburn, FSU, Wisconsin coaches all on scorching hot seats just off the top of my head.
Sure there will be some more if certain teams lose too many games the rest of the season.
I agree and I would imagine the people in Louisiana aren’t thrilled with Brian Kelly. That one has seemed odd from the start.

I can’t remember a time that had so many premier or perceived premiere jobs being open all at once. Wild

he’s someone Wiscy would hire if they can Fickell
They still can't afford Fickell's buyout or they would have made a change. Year 3 is the new year 5 with NIL changing the game. There's nothing to be optimistic about with that team.

This coaching cycle will be crazy and so will the portal. With just the current opening where would Wisconsin rank?
Acknowledging that Fickell is still the Wisconsin coach...

These days, before you target a coach, you gotta a robust and deep NIL program. You don't really hear much about Wisconsin's NIL efforts, which is probably code for, there really isn't much of one. No big time coach is going to take the Wisconsin job, without a "top tier" B1G NIL program

He’s a brand new coach and contract is almost up. He will have a large contract extension probably in the next month.

He was born on Vanderbilt’s campus. Grew up on the campus. Played football at Vanderbilt. His entire family live near Vanderbilt and are Vanderbilt die hards. Vanderbilt is a top 30 job and top 5 school academically (in the football world). Vanderbilt has plenty of resources and are currently spending them on football as much as anyone with improvements to every aspect of their program.

And Nashville is one of the best cities in the country.
NFW is Vandy a top 30 job. Agree with your point about Nashville however. He could make several million $/year and coach with middling success for the next 20 years there if he wanted to. Not a bad gig actually.

It depends on resources especially NIL.

1) Florida
2) PSU
3-5) Wisconsin, Arkansas, UCLA dependent on who can put together competitive resources

There are 35 SEC and BT jobs plus ND. Those are the best 35 jobs. Vandy is definitely top 30 job.

Every school not in BT and SEC has significant risk.

Just curious, if someone (like me) is meh on country music, bachelorette parties and dislikes traffic, what does Nashville offer? I've yet to find it all that appealing as I'm not picky with my hot chicken sandwiches.

For the P4

1. Florida
2. Penn State
big gap
3. Arkansas
bigger gap
4. Wisconsin
5. *OK State
6. UCLA

Wisconsin has a rep of not being very good with NIL, so there quite a few potential openings that would leapfrog Wisconsin (example Baylor). Heck Wisconsin could be lot closer to Oregon State than Arkansas.

*oops OSU

If the data out there is accurate, Illinois has 2x the football budget as Vandy.
Can you provide the data you are referring to? Vanderbilt is a private school so data is very scarce. NIL data is not publicly available so that data is very difficult to know. If you provide your source it would be helpful. Do you even know what Illinois’ NIL is? Or Vandy’s spending or NIL?

But some actually data. It is documented that Vandy is paying their Heisman candidate QB over $2M per year, they are finishing up a $300M stadium renovation and they have a top 10 ten team and one of the best SEC teams so I doubt they are lagging Illinois by 2 to 1. They likely pay their QB more than twice what we pay Luke. They have some dudes and dudes aren’t cheap.
