Quite honestly, I'm struggling to think of a P4 program that is lower on the totem pole than Vandy's - maybe Wake or BC? There are several non-P4 programs that are better - Boise, Memphis, USF to name a few. Vandy is two years removed from being godawful, and they will return to that state as soon as Pavia and Lea leave at the end of this year.

The divide between BT and SEC jobs and not BT and SEC jobs is huge.

Oddly Gary Andersen left Wisconsin for Oregon State
Virginia tech and standford are also open. Unc, fsu, auburn, lsu,Maryland all might be making changes. It’s still a big 10 job but the Wisconsin program has fallen off. Having Minnesota and Illinois improve definitely hurts them

You are overrating that Arkansas job quite a bit. That's is a bottom 2 job in the 2nd best football conference. Building a winner in Arkansas is going to take some Cignetti level miracle working. Missouri being good also really hurts recruiting. Wisconsin job is not what it used to be but is better than Arkansas.

The Razorback athletic department are fairly schizophrenic, but rich alumni is not an issue. Their booster group include John Tyson and half the Waltons. Heck Jerry Jones is just another booster to them. However their AD is pretty iffy,
Don't forget it was Arkansas who poached Bielema from Wisconsin, not vice versa.

That was 10+ years ago, and football landscape was a lot different then. Pac 12 was still a power conference then too. Plus, given what I’ve heard about his off field “performances” while at Oregon State, he may have started to wear out his welcome in Madison. Let’s just say Bret in his younger days had nothing on Gary A.
With this many coaching gigs primed to open up, I think it's clear that Franklin, if he wants to (and it appears he does) can land a head coaching gig without having to do the whole "analyst" thing first. Where does he land? Any chance he ends up at Wisconsin? Seems to me like that could be a decent fit.

I kinda like Deion as an “entertainimer” & what he brings to the table from a talking head standpoint , but I am not in any way sold in him as a coach . FSU can do better .
