Need some more clues
1) Newton is not the only transfer that made a difference. Cam Spencer was the second leading scorer and starting point guard of a national championship winning team. He also shot 44% from 3 point range on 5.6 attempts a game.
2) saying 5/6 are NBA players is disingenuous. Sanogo played 13 games across 2 seasons and got cut. Newton is on a 2 way contract and Karaban is still in college. That’s 3/6.
3) they didn’t “use Newton/Spencer quite a bit”. Those two were the two leading scorers on the team. If you want to say Clingan and Castle are/were more talented, so be it. I’m not going to get into a word choice argument.

Sorry but "in this day and age you cannot win at the highest level without dipping into what is considered non traditional recruiting." does not mean what you're claiming.
I doubt anyone here believes it's the only way to win, folks just don't agree that the opposite is true.

The first part of your original complaint was roster churn and Duke is one of the worst programs in the entire nation in this regard.
Just wait until they lose the big 3 after this season... and whoever else might portal (they certainly haven't been immune nor inactive in the portal). They have lucked out that Smith, TKR and Loyer just aren't really NBA material but are great college players.
The second part of your original complaint was foreign players, which UConn has more of them than we do. And they use the portal too.

It's bothering me how wildly incorrect this last statement is.
Duke had Maluach, Sarr this year, tons of transfers with James, Gillis and others.
Purdue had Lance Jones and is bringing in a dude from Israel next year. Their best player in program history was foreign.
UConn is bringing in a dude from Australia we also recruited and Malachi Smith. They have had tons of foreign talent and transfers.
Indy cryptically indicating that O is trying to close on a dude we've talked about quite a bit on here is great.
Discussing recruiting strategy on a recruiting message board. Also great.
Whining about other people's posts? Not so much.
It was 2 gifs, would you like us to analyze them?
I'd argue it's more being wrong, not just semantics, but I do envy people who can see someone say or write something completely wrong, correctly realize that "it's better for everyone that I keep my mouth shut" and actually follow through on that. A very useful skill that I never was able to get the hang of.
