Pregame: Illinois vs Jackson State, Monday, November 3rd, 7:30pm CT, BTN

[BT262]

I’m stoked!! LETS GO!!!

[Brosky]

I think this will be a Mirkovic coming out party.

I think he is a player that we and the league will be talking about a lot as the season progresses, way more than expected.
I think the guy is going to be a star, I really do.

Yeah. I think so too. Wouldn't you love to see him playing the 4 with a healthy Stoyakovic at the 3?

[sacraig]

Man, the cave men were such a good marketing campaign at first, and then they really ran that into the ground.

Remember when they tried to make it into a sitcom?

[Piotyr]

I am ready for the Mirk with the mouth to give Maximum Effort tonight.

[skyIdub]

Mirk winning B1G FOY…..

[Combo]

Yeah. I think so too. Wouldn't you love to see him playing the 4 with a healthy Stoyakovic at the 3?

Isn't that the plan?

[MDchicago]

I loved how hard Krugers teams played.

Yep, top 10 KP defense 3 of his 4 years at Illinois (every year after his first), including some young and inexperienced teams.

[WhereDoWeStandWithStorr?]

Isn't that the plan?

I have my doubts. Brad loves Ben. Tonight's starting lineup will be the revealing factor.

People need to brace themselves. Mirk might not start IMO

I honestly think we need to make these their own thread, they are just that good. Along with the ppster who was creating these types of posts for recruiting news, if yhat poster is still doing it.

Lo, have I been pining for the return of Cap'n Boswell.

[IlliniFan42]

Isn't that the plan?

I mean, I don't consider Andrej healthy until he stops being a gametime decision, and even after that it'll probably linger.

[Chuck Nuggets]

Illinois 92
Jackson State 59

Someone like Brandon Lee or Humrichous leads in scoring.

[Indy Illini Fan]

Illinois - 97
Jackson State - 60

Expect Tomi to play around 20 minutes … Andrej true GTD … Petro & Ty … OUT …

Everyone else full go …

[Piotyr]

I'm mostly excited to see which newcomer will put up a 25 spot in the game, after which everyone's expectations for that player will be wildly out of alignment for the season. Wagler? Lee? Mirkovic? Big Z? Stojakovic?

I’m in town for Dad’s weekend. Staying an extra couple of days to go to the opener. Randomly ran into Bruce Weber at breakfast this morning at the hotel. Dude was super nice and down to earth.

[Barfolomew]

I love that we're talking about games.
Not a practice. Not the practice. We're talkin bout games.

[IlliniFan42]

My predictions are:

Andrej has a forgettable game (if he plays at all)

Wagler plays to his recruit ranking, not the hype

Z and Mirk both have great games that make us question why Ben is still starting

Given the history of this board, Ben could put up 50 tonight and people will still light their torches and call for his ouster.

Lol we are already in mid season form here baby
