My thoughts on Colgate:

"I don't know anything about Colgate, but they in trouble. They in serious trouble."

I decided last week to get a hotel and buy a ticket for Friday night. Pairing it with my 3 hour each way commute for the football game Saturday. I bought a 100 level seat for $75 on Seatgeek over the still available way back upper level. I checked today and as I expected, the exact same section/row is now $155. The lowest price available went from $10 to $15.

It seems that there is often a let-down after a big, exciting win in the game before. Now, I don’t think Illinois will lose or that it will even be close, but I think it will be interesting to see how they respond. I think how they play in the first half will be indicative of how this team will respond all year.

I anticipate the Illini will start out with a plan to take advantage of the mismatches early. They have plenty to choose from. This team is too fired up to come out flat. They have a combination of experienced deadly calm and enthusiastic youth. All very talented. They'll dominate offensive early, regardless of what they do on the defensive end, they'll have a big lead. It will be interesting to see what they work on from that point forward. I fear by early in the 2H the competitive aspect will not be interesting to watch. And that would be somewhat disappointing for me since it is probably to only Assembly Hall game I can make this year. On the other hand, if the game is still in question by the 10min mark, I would be trying to figure out what happended. I just hope they play hard the entire game.

All I know is I won't be able to watch the game. Man, I'm sick and tired of this crap.

I thought it was always 4 out of 5. When did we start to get more precise? :)

Colgate did give Tenn all they could handle in the NCAA first round back in 2019 in Columbus. I was there. Always wanted to see one of those 15 over 2 type of upsets in person (excluding the beloved of course). When Colgate got the lead with like 3 minutes left the place went nuts. They just couldn't quite hold it til the end.

exactly the way I read it. I assumed the thought of him playing Friday was not in consideration... maybe that's the reality but it didn't sound like that
somewhat encouraging. Seeing him walk on to the floor Friday night he didn't seem to be limping and wasn't in a brace from the looks of it. The vagueness is a little disconcerting but at least they thought about friday
