Illinois #8 in AP Poll

I think we are 11 or 12. Pass Texas Tech, Kentucky and/or Michigan.

We'll be top 5 if we beat Bama and KU beats Duke. We'll jump Michigan and also Arizona who will lose to UCONN.

The most important thing about these polls is that when you have a top 10 win the SAME WEEK as all the other games, you'll have a significantly higher likelihood of jumping teams that lost or won playing lower competition. Reason we finished #8 or not 10 or 11.

Yeah I think we could also beat the 2015 Golden State Warriors pretty handily. Maybe even the '96 bulls. Screw it, bring on the dream team they wouldn't stand a chance.

IMO we should've jumped michigan this week.

Duke is very good. Kansas is only ranked 100% due to brand bias after getting beat handedly against an average UNC squad.

UConn is a different beast. They seem to run hot and cold in the same game.

As the only Bama/Illini fan on the board I am probably the only one that has watched both teams play every game so far. If Bama plays like they did on the road in Madison Square Garden against St. Johns, they beat Illinois. If they play like they did against Purdue, Illinois wins a close game.

IMO no way does Illinois beat Bama handily.

Wait… so if Alabama plays like they did in a game in which they won by only 7 points, Illinois doesn’t have a chance?

(I don’t think we beat them handily either, for the record)
